We’ve been told we’re “in the queue for formal underwrite” and that Bluestone aren’t taking any escalations. We’re being because our packager didn’t upload all of our documents even though we sent them numerous times. I’m SO angry.
Is your packager Brightstar? Mine went to underwrite last week, just hope they don't want anything else as I have sent them everything! Its very stressful as it adds 8 more days until you get a response! Have you had your valuation?
Yep Brightstar. We’ve had our valuation because I asked for it early (non-refundable) and it was all good. The problem is it’ll be 8 working days until I hear and then if they have queries it’ll be another 8 working days so that’s already 6th April :(
Ahh I haven't asked for mine yet, My full application went in on the 26th Feb then was progressed to underwriters last Tuesday but not had valuation yet, I will be asking for it this week as the seller has been waiting. Aww I hope you get everything you need, it's awful the waiting round but you will get there in the end! As far as I know it goes DIP, then assessment, underwriters, valuation, back to underwriters and then offer? That is if they have all the paperwork as that's what causes the waiting times. Hopefully you get something back asap. Please keep me updated. X
Yeah deffo ask for your valuation to be done to keep sellers happy :)
Thank you. I’m hoping as we’ve done valuation and they had that on 1st March they just do one big underwrite. I guess it’ll be any questions on affordability we will need to answer as my Nanna has given me some money (not to do with the house) that we will have to answer I assume!
good luck with yours too :)
Yes I has questions like that at the beginning why has someone transferred me money, all them were answered straight away!  Hopefully get there in the end :)
Yes :) Did you just answer yours over email? I’ve got two instances where a family member has sent me money (bless them they’re old and they’re gifting their money away but under the inheritance tax threshold) so I know they will question it but I just want to get them an answer quickly!
I just written letters to explain what it was for but this was before the packager sent my application to Bluestone. Had no questions so far so my fingers are crossed its okay!
I think your packager sounds like heaven :)
My hard search showed up today! It was done 15/03
I'm with Brightstar too! But my MA is really good, always answers everything for me :). Ahh thats good news.. im hoping for some news back this week, hoping to get the valuation booked in :)
We have had veerrrryyy different experiences haha. Basically they’ve constantly asked for the same stuff even though my MA has sent it. I think we could have shaved a month off.
Let me know when your val gets booked in! :)
That's annoying, especially when you have already sent them in! I'm still waiting to see if they want to some questions answering (hopefully not) Will let you know if I get anything back this week :)

Hi All..we’re currently treading the same path as many of you..how do you find out so quickly that the hard search has been completed please?
Hey. I have an Experian account. I pay £15 for it monthly at the minute so I can constantly check it’s okay. The hard search was completed on Monday and it showed up today. You have to go into your credit report on Experian and click save to open a new tab which downloads your whole credit report. This shows up before any notifications on the account
    You're wasting £15.
Just stick with MSE credit club, it's free each month and is what I used.

Micromanaging won't help your stress levels, save that for the conveyancing. Have faith in your broker they wouldn't have placed you with Bluestone if they didn't think you would get the mortgage.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Sorry but I don’t feel that I am wasting £15. I’ve been able to keep track of my report and watched defaults fall off and also been able to catch my contents insurance be added to my credit report even though it wasn’t there before and been able to add this to my commitments form. Everyone is different, this helps me stress levels.
  • @Hopeful89 I don’t think you are wasting £15, I use checkmyfile and it’s been great for myself and boyfriend we’ve been able to see exactly what every credit company has on file for us. You aren’t exactly paying it forever it’s just now until you get sorted with mortgage etc. I’m defo with you on it making you feel better! Everyone is certainly different for sure 👏🏼
  • Hi all,
We are due to complete on friday this week (19th), we had to submit our payslips dated within 30 days of completion which we have done, but they've come back to say that the underwriter needs to review them. We were both struck down with covid a few weeks ago, and my partner had to go on SSP due to not being able to work from home - this is the only reason I can think of why it's been referred back to the underwriters. Has anyone had this? I'd hate for everything to fall through so close to completion! Especially considering he had no choice but to stay home - surely they don't expect him to go to work whilst actively having the virus?
Any help would be great I'm really panicking now!!

  • @Sortingmylifeout7 I used to wonder why it took ages to update but you get a new credit report every month (round about when the money comes out your bank £14.99) and then when you next log into the site it’ll ask you to click update and generate a new report.
