  • @Spenny01 I’m glad there is a few of us who submitted application around the same time. Seems to just be however complex your case is. I keep seeing people getting asked for more documents but fortunately we’ve never had to submit anything else (so far!!) our MA has been brilliant

We’ve been told we’re “in the queue for formal underwrite” and that Bluestone aren’t taking any escalations. We’re being because our packager didn’t upload all of our documents even though we sent them numerous times. I’m SO angry.
Is your packager Brightstar? Mine went to underwrite last week, just hope they don't want anything else as I have sent them everything! Its very stressful as it adds 8 more days until you get a response! Have you had your valuation?
Yep Brightstar. We’ve had our valuation because I asked for it early (non-refundable) and it was all good. The problem is it’ll be 8 working days until I hear and then if they have queries it’ll be another 8 working days so that’s already 6th April :(
Ahh I haven't asked for mine yet, My full application went in on the 26th Feb then was progressed to underwriters last Tuesday but not had valuation yet, I will be asking for it this week as the seller has been waiting. Aww I hope you get everything you need, it's awful the waiting round but you will get there in the end! As far as I know it goes DIP, then assessment, underwriters, valuation, back to underwriters and then offer? That is if they have all the paperwork as that's what causes the waiting times. Hopefully you get something back asap. Please keep me updated. X
Yeah deffo ask for your valuation to be done to keep sellers happy :)
Thank you. I’m hoping as we’ve done valuation and they had that on 1st March they just do one big underwrite. I guess it’ll be any questions on affordability we will need to answer as my Nanna has given me some money (not to do with the house) that we will have to answer I assume!
good luck with yours too :)
Yes I has questions like that at the beginning why has someone transferred me money, all them were answered straight away!  Hopefully get there in the end :)

My partner had a call from his HR dept today regarding a form to fill in from Bluestone so they have looked at our file at some point end of last week to send this.

@Samfaye01 I will do, I always check for your comments! The week 6 team 🤣 ours was instructed by Bluestone on Wednesday last week, I really am getting worried about the “conditions” part. We both have one credit card each and I got a new car in January but MA advised shouldn’t be an issue as payment was settled on last car lease and I was due for another car 😟
We have a loan & sofa finance our MB said our affordability is fine so he doesnt know why we would have to pay these, and not sure at what point they look at the 'conditions" I don't want them to just spring it on us that they need to be paid.

Our conditions for the mortgage weren't related to any debts. Our solicitor had to provide certain documents relating to the build of the house. Which ended up being sent 3 times.
    🙄🙄🙄
  • @Samfaye01 yes we were told the same. I think maybe those conditions are for people who have many credit cards/loans. Surely they need to be realistic about conditions!
  • We've had the email to say that the funds have been released by Bluestone and should be in our solicitors account by the end of the day!! Keeping everything crossed we exchange and complete tomorrow :)
  • In terms of the conditions, there were ones mentioned at affordability, cancelling some services but these weren't in the final mortgage conditions.

We knew we'd have to pay off the debts, they totalled about £2k in total. We paid these off before our mortgage offer but they were still included.

Other special conditions were the home insurance, and stuff relating to the gifted deposit.

Our main problem has been what Bluestone will accept as evidence of debts being paid, they are very very precise. Then when a different underwriter has reviewed the file they wanted the evidence in a different format.

Yes :) Did you just answer yours over email? I’ve got two instances where a family member has sent me money (bless them they’re old and they’re gifting their money away but under the inheritance tax threshold) so I know they will question it but I just want to get them an answer quickly!
