Lux ac battery controller

Haven't noticed it today but that has been happening to me quite a lot this week, it seems to resolve itself after a while.chamelion said:Has anyone been having issues with their lux app showing the inverter as offline today?
Mine has been intermittent but mostly unavailable. Have tried the unplug and replug adapter trick and lights all green so I know it's online. But neither app nor website consistently see it.MG4 Trophy, Zappi 2 charger

Any help greatly appreciated.
so my Lux has decided to stop switching off AC charge as per schedule as 2.30am.
of course the day Hong Kong checks it, it works fine but again this morning I had to use my workaround of toggling off ac charge and back on again. Has anyone encountered this problem? I decided to shut the full system down this morning,!AC and DC to give it a boot.Am I Forrest in thinking internet or WiFi does not need to be present after the data has been saved to the inverter? Or is it remote signals? yeah agreed about the Octopus smart metre it would be good if they came and installed it, ive been asking for two years and still no date for when they will fit it. I also believe that they have said that the tariffs for cheap rate at night now is no longer available if you dont have an EV ?Solarchaser said:Sorry missed the other bit.
I do have a smart meter and am planning to use my cheaper period to heat the thermal store in winter time and have the central heating water then heated with a heat exchanger off the thermal store.
Batteries are great, but you will find next month (April and September are our brightest months) that your batteries will be full and you still send some to the grid, whereas if you could divert some of that to your hot water tank /thermal store then you save the cost of heating the water.
On the flip side in winter you won't have enough to fill the batteries,so definitely not enough to heat the tank, but thats where the cheaper rate of octopus comes in for those of us with a smart meter
Bob, tell them you do have an EV. They never asked me when I told them I wanted Go and they instantly swapped me to Go. They did however ask my wife when she made the first exploratory calls, and she said "Of course we have an EV" whilst crossing her fingers on the first phone call :-)

Hello all - can any of you answer my 2 questions please?Due to huge cost of the Aobo batteries, currently I'm planning to move all my Uhome LFP-2400's ( x4 ) to one string and then buy another 9.6 kWh of Pylontech US5000's or US2000's onto the other inverter.1. Will that be ok or do is there any other magic I'll need to do? Any drawbacks to this?2. I have searched and Octolux is on the right track but I'm looking for a Solar prediction integration that will change the charge times for my current 9.6kWh of batteries. Does anyone know of any please? I want it to be able to run itself once it's commissioned.UPDATE: After much more searching I found out that Chris who wrote Octolux has made new software called lxp-bridge https://github.com/celsworth/lxp-bridgeLooks like it almost does what I want. I'll try it this week. The very last post is interesting https://camelot-forum.co.uk/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=161The reason is that my installer has vanished and not given me the MCS cert, so I can't export and I want to limit the amount of "free" electrickery I'm giving to the DNOThanks in advance!

Hello all, I've been looking into adding batteries to my existing 4kW of solar and am liking the look of the Luxpower 3600ACS. However, I cant seem to find anywhere to actually buy it from? Any suggestions? Ive emailed PV-Pro and Infinity solution as I've read that they were the UK distributors. Any other suggestions? I was looking to buy directly and get my electrician to connect them up. Thanks.0

A big +1 for Chris and his lxp-bridge: I started running it a few days ago (using the data in node-red to change AC charge level based on next day's forecast) and it does its job perfectly. Chris was very helpful setting it up when I had some issues with the install and contacted him.2. I am running it on a raspberry Pi which is on 24/7 anyway, doing all the smart stuff of my house. Installing & config should be easy, following the steps on github.newbuilder said:

Once it's running it is really easy if you are familiar with MQTT, it creates some channels you can subscribe to and get all the info from the inverter, plus you can send command back to it to change parameters as you wish.
I was already running MQTT server and node-red on the raspberry pi, so it was done in a few minutes. Now just testing 2 different sources for the solar forecast to see which one is more reliable & closer to the real figures.3kW solar PV, Lux 3600 with 4 Pylontech batteries

I would imagine a few of the users here could construct something they could sell to us, so that the idiots amongst us (me) don't have to learn python etc.
