    Sorry missed the other bit.
I do have a smart meter and am planning to use my cheaper period to heat the thermal store in winter time and have the central heating water then heated with a heat exchanger off the thermal store.

Batteries are great, but you will find next month (April and September are our brightest months) that your batteries will be full and you still send some to the grid, whereas if you could divert some of that to your hot water tank /thermal store then you save the cost of heating the water.
On the flip side in winter you won't have enough to fill the batteries,so definitely not enough to heat the tank, but thats where the cheaper rate of octopus comes in for those of us with a smart meter
yeah agreed about the Octopus smart metre it would be good if they came and installed it, ive been asking for two years and still no date for when they will fit it. I also believe that they have said that the tariffs for cheap rate at night now is no longer available if you dont have an EV ?

I had to wait a while, but I found emailing a couple of times within 2 weeks pushed it to happen much quicker.

Yeah I've seen mentioned about the need for an ev now, so maybe something like edfs non ev tarrifs might suit more??

Anyone discovered if there is a way under local connect to change the error rate of the Ct clamps. I am still importing 15w when using the battery. Have contacted LuX who made a change from the 60watts but surely we should be able to do it in the unrestricted local connect?

I decided to check how well my panels were working this afternoon at about 3.30pm.  The sun was shining brightly, as it has been all day, but my panels  (16x300w  facing East/West  on a 22 degree pitched roof) were only producing 350w according to the app. My 9.6 batteries were 100% charged and I had sent 0.1kWh to the grid.
It's been really nice all day today but I've only produced 10.5 kWh. I was expecting at least 18kWh based on recent production.
(14.5 a couple of days ago with a lot less sunlight than today.)

I got home and checked my batteries and they were all 100% charged but with no lights on to show this. I switched off and then on again and same again so I attached my laptop and checked the individual batteries and they were all OK, on 'Idle' and fully charged
The inverter light for 'running' was on.
    Am I missing something?
Is there a simple way to double check how much is being produced at any time?

Have you checked in your inverter settings that feed in grid power perfect is 100%?

As a quick reference my ene and wsw 6.6kw array made 18kwh, so a few more panels, but a worse orientation from you.

It seems to suggest maybe your inverter is set for zero output to grid, so once batteries were full it throttled back to only cover house load (350w)

Newbuilder and Solarchaser are right on the button.
    I changed it to 100%.
It's 13.30 and I've just checked the output and I've produced 12kWh  and exported 4kWh already and the batteries are 100% too.
Thank you to both of you. :)
I'm pleased that I've found this out at this time of the year so I can now make some profit.
It would also explain why I failed to force discharge my battery to the grid a couple of weeks ago when Octopus were offering 60p.

I'm now left pondering how it got changed to 0%.
It was OK for the previous couple of years.
