So it looks like the batteries and the Lux are not communicating so the Lux does not know they exist.
Try switching off all the batteries.
Make sure the connectors are all tight and the data cable from the master to the Lux is clicked in at both ends.
Now switch on the batteries from the last to the master. Give about 20 seconds between switching each one on.
I have aoboet batteries and have to do this. Sometimes the master needs switched off and back on again.

    this is a simple reboot.

I am not familiar with your battery set up or manufacturer but have you added any new batteries and do you need to change settings on the little dip switches?

Hi Wattstored, id suggest you do unwind the ct cable and attach it to only the live cable of your PV inverter.
At the moment your ct for lux is only on the grid line, so you can see import and export, but if you attach the PV ct to the output line of your PV, the lux will recognise it as generation and will adjust its charging rate to sup up the spare solar.

Worst case scenario it might steal it from your pv batteries, but in terms of your FIT, this will be more beneficial anyway.
As your pv batteries will suffer round trip losses that will then never show on your generation meter, whereas the lux will take it after the generation meter, so best to fill them first.

Need help to understand why my Lux AC3600 ACS is not allowing my batteries to discharge.
When I look at the Lux monitor the battery symbol is showing zero charge yet the batteries are showing up to 5 green lights.
My system comprises of 32 SW250 poly panels(8kw) each fitted with Enphase micro converters and Envoy S internet gateway. My batteries are 3 - US 2000C and 1 - US2000
I have recently added a Zappi 2 charge point for my EV(64kw E Niro). Zappi works fine, charges the car from solar
The alarm LCD on the master battery is red continuously.
The Lux monitor shows "communication failure with battery".
I am at a loss not really understanding electrics, I am in a dark tunnel'
Any help/guidance would be much appreciated.
I'd suggest disconnecting each link for your batteries and start them up individually.
Which is, switch on at the switch, then press the run button, all charge indicators should light to reveal your charge level and the run light should flash every few seconds.
If this works fine, then connect all the batteries together, but not the lux,  switch them all on, then press the run button on the master, it should light its battery lights, then a second later the next battery and a second later the next etc etc, this shows they are communicating with each other.

The comms cable from the lux should be into the "can" port on your first battery, and each of the dip switches for this battery should be in the down position, as this dictates the data transfer rate.
There should be no cable on link port 0 of the master

The comms cable should go to the middle front port on the lux iirc.

Red light isn't good, perhaps you have a faulty battery, try connecting to 1 other.

If none of this works, please attach some photos of your batteries and how they are connected, and the bottom of the lux where everything is plugged In and perhaps a pic of the screen showing the fault

    Hello all,
I've just bought 2 x LFP-2400's (to add to my existing 2 x 2) and just as a word of caution - currently 2 different issues:
    1. The connectors are SMALLER than the big fat originals, so be careful of the interconnect cables you order
    2. The built in wifi doesn't have USRxxxxx as the SSID it uses the bar code and you are unable to pair and connect. Mick told me that he's expecting a new firmware in 2 weeks or so that should correct that problem
Big Green Beard took the serial numbers so they could match the cable sets, in hindsight I should have taken a photo to show battery installation. I think they assumed they were all in one stack and not 2 strings of 2. So myself and SWMBO had to disconnect and move them around under the guidance of Mick at BGB, of which I'm very grateful for.

I'm experienced in telecoms batteries - but they've been paid for by other people - and as I've paid for these I didn't want to mess things up.
  • I have another question.

Does anyone know how to reflash or reset the Luxpower wifi dongles? I changed a setting and it did the exact opposite of what it was supposed to do and turned off all wifi. So I need to send them back for re-flashing. Can't understand why there isn't a reset button!

Have a great Jubilee weekend :)

  • I have a question for any of you that have the Lux Hybrid 3.6 Inverter i have tried reading all the specs but am now totally confused.
i am going to be installing a 5kw system for my son and would like to match that with the Lux hybrid unit, but cant decide which model we need.
i cant understand with the 3.6 version exactly what the solar output maximum is ..i know the maximum the battery's will output is around 3.2-3,4 KW when discharging.

so does that mean that anything we generate over 3.6kw gets clipped and lost ?

there is also a 5kw model available which looks to have a higher output of 5KW.

With the 4.9 kw Panels we will be installing is it worth going for the higher spec.

The Other option is to put in a separate 5kw inverter and use the lux AC unit.

i hope you understand where im going with this.

    any advice would be appreciated

i should point out that i have 2 x lux ac parallel units with 2 banks of pylontechs  which i am very happy with.

    I have a little problem...
    I recently upgraded my router from a Virgin Hub3 to a Hub4.

I need to persuade my Lux inverter wifi dongle that I have changed routers.
I've been through the process of doing this but instead of all three green lights on the dongle being solid green, only the top and bottom ones are solid. The middle one is flashing.
Before I started the process the bottom light was solid, the middle one was flashing and the other one was off.
I've tried changing things on my Samsumg tablet and on my iphone6 but neither gets me connected.
My tablet and phone recognise the dongle but when I log into Lux it says, 'offline'.
Any suggestions would be very welcome please.

Whenever I've had a change of router - as an upgrade or change of ISP - I've always gone into the router 'hardwired' (RJ45) and renamed it to the name of the old router and reset the password to the old password. In this way none of the WiFi peripherals know there's been a change, nothing needs to be reset, and everything carries on without interruption.
