Very strange that it could effect solar, i wonder what they mean by this.TheMaster_2 said:
I asked them about this and got this reply, still not really sure what those settings do.martin2020 said:
mine buzzed when i set the reactive power to 50 percent as stated in this thread, i reduced it down to 10 and the buzzing stops - any lower than 7 and my inverter switches from battery to grid every few minutes when my house is runnning at base load.chamelion said:Do any of you folks' LUX buzz? Mine has a quite distinct buzzing sound when idle...
id love a propper explanations of what some of these settings doQ) Also a little more info on the Active Power Percent% and Reactive Power Percent% would help
A) This setting may influence on the solar performance only when you set output reactive power very large and set output reactive power . In your setting, you set PF=1 (Unit power factor), so it is OK, it will not influnce solar, the reactive power percent is useless
ive played around with these settings for weeks and the only stable setup for me is over reactive power at about 14%. yet the same settings dont work as good for my brothers lux which has to be on under reactive power, so i dunno maybe im overthinking it and asking for too much of it.
Anything else and i see vast switching when the solar inverter comes on and takes over in a morning.0 -
Similar here: tried a few different setups there, lots of contactor switching at sunrise/sunset when the inverter goes into standby/charge/discharge. Right now it's on 3% over reactive, slight buzzing sometimes plus fewer switches than on "0" setup. Haven't tried under reactive yet though....martin2020 said:

I have asked them for further clarification along with a couple of other queries.1

Hi EVandPV where do you get the batteryview app from please?EVandPV said:I think the Batteryview app can tell us Lux users how many cycles we've had from the Pylons, a feature currently missing from the web portal data.
The figure highlighted in this screenshot would appear to be in the right ball park for my system and if I'm not mistaken, shows the total number of charge/discharge cycles.
We've had the batteries for 95 days so that would be about 1.3 cycles per day, which seems about right.
Strangely, there is a heading for cycle data but the figures bare no relation to our system, there's no way it could have done 2043 cycles in 95 days !

Anything else and i see vast switching when the solar inverter comes on and takes over in a morning.Q) I am trying to stop the invertor from importing energy when there is power in the batteries, do these settings effect import/export at all? In your last email it mentions the below, how does this affect solar performance?
"This setting may influence on the solar performance only when you set output reactive power very large and set output reactive power"
A) For import power, can you please shoot some picture when you see import and then we will analysis for you, there are serveral reasons for import:
(1) Solar power + battery discharge power ability < the power your load take
(2) when sunshine decrease suddenly or the load increase suddenly, then inverter need time to adjust
For reactive power setting, sorry that I forget that your inverter is AC coupled inverter, so the settings of AC coupled inverter will not have influence on on grid inverter power generation
Q) Are you working with Octopus Energy in the UK on any kind of integration/API for their Agile tariff for battery charging?
A) yes, we are working with Octopus and we have test several units to charge at lowest cost automatically, it worked. if you want to add in our test list, you can contact our UK partner Jake (I copied in the email)and he will help you.
Q) Lastly is the parallel LUX invertor solution working now to run 2 invertors in parallels so I can get 7kWH output as I am looking to purchase a 2nd one, and is it better to run my 6 batteries shared or split into 2 x 3 ?
A) For batteries, both solutions are OK, battery together or seperated.

For octopus question, just use octolux? Works perfect.TheMaster_2 said:

I don't get it... it says lux power pod. Is that them just grouping together batts + the standard inverter with a firmware upgrade to manage agile fluctuations?EVandPV said:
