ah good point makes sense thanks -EVandPV said:
Bare in mind the graph resolution is only every 2 minutes so it's quite possible a kettle wont register and will probably only appear as a single blip at best.martin2020 said:
ive only had my lux a few days but im seeing somthing kinda similar. after i shut my house down at night my base load is about 80watts, its shortly after that i see surges of grid import but the battery stays on standby.mickyduck55 said:
Hi anyone else get these unexplained surges? At about midnight (house should have been at base load) my battery discharged at a rate of about 1.7 Kw and a small export to the grid... the later morning spikes are the usual morning activity of Kettle, Toaster etc !
my battery doesnt respond as good as yours in your graph to the kettle and somtimes doesnt even register on the graph when kettle has been on. is there a setting maybe im missing ?
does every elses inverters click a few times when changing from charge to discharge? mine does and i can hear it even though its in the loft
In other news, ive just installed bluestacks android emulator on the pc so i can use the phone app in local mode for faster updates, its running and connects but no data as of yet0 -
Still see the odd spike with mine, and yeah they have a couple of wee clicks here and there when chancing between modesWest central Scotland

mine buzzed when i set the reactive power to 50 percent as stated in this thread, i reduced it down to 10 and the buzzing stops - any lower than 7 and my inverter switches from battery to grid every few minutes when my house is runnning at base load.chamelion said:Do any of you folks' LUX buzz? id love a propper explanations of what some of these settings do1 -
how are peoples imports compared to what octopus energy reports ? my lux reports 0.2kwh per day and octopus is saying im importing 0.900khw per day !0

I'd tend to believe octopus tbh.... or more correctly id tend to believe the smart meter.
Chart its readings for a few days and compare to the lux.
The problem with CT clamps is they are monitoring an electric field from outside it.
You tend to find they are to within about 10% accuracy overall, but imo that's much better accuracy at high current use than lowWest central Scotland

Hi EVandPV where do you get the batteryview app from please?EVandPV said:I think the Batteryview app can tell us Lux users how many cycles we've had from the Pylons, a feature currently missing from the web portal data.
The figure highlighted in this screenshot would appear to be in the right ball park for my system and if I'm not mistaken, shows the total number of charge/discharge cycles.
We've had the batteries for 95 days so that would be about 1.3 cycles per day, which seems about right.
Strangely, there is a heading for cycle data but the figures bare no relation to our system, there's no way it could have done 2043 cycles in 95 days !0 -
whats deemed a cycle for the pylontechs, in my mind it would be from 100 to nearly flat ?0
-
Going by the fact that on the sofar they were set to discharge to 20%, and i accumulated cycles, id say a full cycle would be from 20% to 100% and back to 20%.
Going from 100% to 50% and back again did not count on my plyonsWest central Scotland

I asked them about this and got this reply, still not really sure what those settings do.martin2020 said:

id love a propper explanations of what some of these settings doQ) Also a little more info on the Active Power Percent% and Reactive Power Percent% would help
A) This setting may influence on the solar performance only when you set output reactive power very large and set output reactive power . In your setting, you set PF=1 (Unit power factor), so it is OK, it will not influnce solar, the reactive power percent is useless
