My neighbour has gone into the house and found the top battery with a red light. They have reset the battery and the red light has gone out and there is just the green light. The inverter is still reporting a battery fault.
I'd like to reset the inverter but the latest version of the app has no reset option. Does anyone know how to reset the inverter remotely? I have emailed Jake, but as has been the case with my last 3 emails I have had no reply.
Dave FI thought I should get everyone up-to-date with this problem. When I got back home, I turned off the mains to the inverter and turned off all four batteries. I then turned them on again, one at a time. When a battery is turned on there is a definite 'clunk' from inside the battery case about 5 seconds after the green run light comes on. This happened for all the batteries except the master; the green light came on but no noise was heard and then the red fault light came on after another 5 seconds.I suspected the master battery was faulty. I reconfigured the batteries to become a stack of 3 - the old master was totally disconnected from the stack and what was previously the first slave was set to 'master'. The three batteries powered up correctly and worked with the inverter both with and without the mains power. Out of curiousity I turned on the old master (still disconnected from the stack). The green light came on followed by the clunk after 5 seconds. After a quick reconfigure, the stack was changed back to 4 batteries but with the old master as a slave - and it worked correctly. The reconfigured batteries have been working correctly for the last 5 days. One curious thing is the reporting of the SOC. Before the fault occured the SOC would show jumps of 20 to 30% even if I were charging or discharging the batteries very slowly. Now the jumps are far far less - about 5% max.Dave F

Hello all, just joined. I have a new Lux AC ESS & 4 x 2.4KwH Aoboet batteries. Bought from Jake & Co(s)
I have 2 questions I'd like some help with from the experts on here:
1) Please would someone describe some step by step instructions for updating firmware from the app. I'm currently on BAAB-0303 (for a new inverter?? - is that expected?) I seem to have successfully downloaded some new versions but cannot seem to update the inverter (via WiFi)
2) I can't get any reply re: registering the batteries for WiFi monitoring access from Jake so I figured I'd do it myself. I have no manuals, but I found something on the internet. It mentions hitting the reset switch for 7seconds then you will see some related SSID. I almost went through the process with 1 battery, but had trouble scanning the barcode so started to enter it manually, got mixed up with zero's and letter "O" and messed it up. Now I can't see the SSID upon 7 second switch reset. Anyone else tried this WiFi configuration sequence? Any advice?
Thanks in advance. I hope I can offer something in return as we go forward.0 -

1. Firmware is different on your old master battery and the new master.
2. The lux has updated and the percentage change is for the lux to better recognise the aoboet batteries.
Either way it's got to be a call to Jake/Michael to report a faulty battery and let them prove its not.West central Scotland

Is it just me or is anyone else noticing a closed market, no competition for Uhome batteries. I contacted a variety of companies and they passed my details between them. I then got a phone call from the company I installed the full system with telling me that my details had been passed on and that the solar companies don't steal each others' business. How can the consumer get good value for money? I just wanted a new battery and was quoted £1500.5KW solar, Lux 3.8KW inverter, Uhome 2400 LPF x 6, SOLIC 200 immerser diverter, Leaf 62Kwh, MG ZSev, Ohme home charger, Zappi v2.1, Import: Octopus intelligent ; Export: Octopus Energy Export, 15KW biomass pellet boiler - Windhager., Home Assistant (newbie)0

newbuilder said:Is it just me or is anyone else noticing a closed market, no competition for Uhome batteries.I got that impression from reading this thread. Uhome seems very much the "closed market" cousin of Pylontech.newbuilder said:I just wanted a new battery and was quoted £1500.Does anyone know if they will co-exist? Even if they don't talk the same protocol, will a Pylontech charge/discharge on a Uhome system without the data cable connected? If I was a lottery winner I'd buy one and try it but alas I'm notN. I have been informed, again by sales people that they are not compatible. The uhome has a lower operating tolerance and more deep discharge. I did speak with Greenbeard but he is a distributor and not an end user seller. Seems to be that the only end user sellers are the installers. Seems a fix and breach of competition rules if you ask me5KW solar, Lux 3.8KW inverter, Uhome 2400 LPF x 6, SOLIC 200 immerser diverter, Leaf 62Kwh, MG ZSev, Ohme home charger, Zappi v2.1, Import: Octopus intelligent ; Export: Octopus Energy Export, 15KW biomass pellet boiler - Windhager., Home Assistant (newbie)0

I'm not sure franchised dealerships breach trading regulations. Otherwise most car dealer would be in chokey. It would be different if there were no rival equivalent products, possibly.

The fact that contacting other dealers results in them sharing your details with competitors to make sure they don’t steal other competitors sales is a contravention of GDPR and competition?5KW solar, Lux 3.8KW inverter, Uhome 2400 LPF x 6, SOLIC 200 immerser diverter, Leaf 62Kwh, MG ZSev, Ohme home charger, Zappi v2.1, Import: Octopus intelligent ; Export: Octopus Energy Export, 15KW biomass pellet boiler - Windhager., Home Assistant (newbie)0
