Where the clamp sits is fine, it's the route of the clamps wire that I don't like, I think you are picking up interference from the neutral and earth wires it passes through

You think I should get a longer brown wire and place it outside so it’s isolated for the clamp ? I’m just really confused that it shows no consumption now and is just powering the batter from pv which is going up ? Even though it’s nighttime ? It’s just plain weird. It’s like my grid monitor has stopped reporting

Nah you would need to run that all the way to your solar inverter.
Just shut down power to the box, then one by one remove each wire the clamp flex runs through, move the flex over to the right, then put the wire back and that will stop it running in and out of your neutral and earth wires

  • Hi is there a setting to force the LUX to use mains power... ATM my batteries are running at my min level charge to get me from the end of my "GO" period until the sun starts to shine again... Ideally I would like to just leave them sat at this level and use power from the grid until 1:30.  What is happening now is
Charge from grid until batteries are at 45% then stop charging
Power to home then comes from battery,.. until it gets below 45%
    Cycle repeats....
As I said... be really good for me if any power needed during the go period could be forced to be directly from the grid.. so in effect turn my batteries OFF when at set bmin charge rate until 1:30 am

I personally think Lux has changed stuff that is making all the batteries behave weird, mine starting using my batteries power to export to the grid when there was a ton of solar PV power available !! just wasting power and draining battery for when I really needed it in the evening

Just set your charge time to end at 01:30 as once its reached your level of charge, if its still in your grid charge period, they will just sit at 45% until your grid charge period ends.

You may have to do one period ending at 11:59 and another from 00:01 to 01:30 I'm not sure.

Actually have read your post again, it seems like you are saying you already have that set, but its not working that way.
Mine definitely work that way, because if I'm charged to my set level after an hour of my 3 hour charge period, I'll be using grid power until it ends, whereas I'd actually prefer it to start discharging and stop taking from the grid.

Mine are discharging during a grid charge schedule now too.
I never noticed this either until now but they definitely weren't doing this a few weeks ago.
Seems to have coincided with them removing the grid and application settings on the web portal.

I’m surprised that more owners aren’t complaining about this as something has definitely changed
