i have single phase and a 100A and seems to be fine, Im based in the very rural Remote northwest Scottish highlands ! I have the basic g98 for the 3.6 i can export but as my lux cant do more than that its not a problem

The advice is now not to fit 100A only 80A, they won't derate anyone unless they need to carry out works at a property where 100A is fitted, if so they will change the fuse to 80A.
Do you know when that came into force?
I was unlooped a couple of years ago due to impending ev charger fitment and they fitted a 125a line and 100a fuse.

I couldn't run the house the way I do with an 80a limit.
It came in last summer, most DNOs are now applying it. I'll post the 2 page doc from northern powergrid, but it's the same doc as national grid have issued for the DNOs they own.

Were the individual SOCs the same? If not, they've probably just averaged themselves out.

Not really "enabling" the transition to an all electric world.

They were all at exactly the same SOC (within 0.1%) all the way through the period, just found the SOC graph in the uhome app 👍🏻

    Thanks for the info.
A quick search for sp energy networks doesn't return the same, but actually reading through yours, it does really make sense, most properties never get near the 100a limit, and the network couldn't cope if they did.
Same would be true for exporting 100a too.

You would hope that in time when these lines are being replaced, they would have increased capacity,  but its not practical to lift every domestic line and replace them over the next 10 years.

For me, charging batteries, ev and water tanks is 22kw, so an 80a fuse would not work,  and so I'm glad I have the 100a

Finally got my Fogstar rack batteries up and running, so far so good!

I've got two remaining UHome 2400 looking for a good home, any takers before I delve into the murky world of ebay?

'Big Connectors', will come with one pair of battery cables (and an inverter connection +ve and -ve).
Which fogstar batteries have you installed?
I went with 4 of the Server Rack Battery 48V (5.12kWh).
Have they made it into the loft? 🙂
They have!  I bought a chain winch from amazon to assist, blooming heavy they were!

I take your point but you would have to try very hard to need to pull 100A for more than four hours? Simultaneously charging an EV at 32A, heating a hot water cylinder at 16A and charging house batteries even at 32A only gets you to 80A, the rest of the house load during the night presumably being negligible.

I beg to differ. It would work only to well for you :-
  • I Recently had lux inverter and 4 hanchu 3.2kWh batteries ( total 12.8kWh) installed. After a week I noticed that 2 batteries were not charging and had no leds illuminated. I switched the batteries on and the red leds came on. For a while the lux reported 4 batteries but after a while this reverted to 2 and the other 2 batteries again had no leds illuminated. Anybody know how I can fix this?
