  • Another way would be killing the power of your router for a few minutes but if the dongle believes it is connected it may not move away from the three lights

Like others, I had the same problems at the end of last week, gaining control of the inverter. I though perhaps either the dongle or whole had gone up the swanny as I couldn't get connected, even a local connect.
But it would appear it was the server

.... I'll stick my neck out and say it's probable all 3x servers that service their respective areas (Asia/South Africa/EU), depending on which server your individual inverter was registered on at time of the inverter install, are even located in the same data centre.

Indeed, there will definitely be one for SA as well. Note these are in Alibaba cloud so won't be physical servers they will be VM's running on hypervisors. Cloud is great as it allows you to spin up servers and associated services/.applications without having to own any infrastructure yourself whilst at the same time providing you all the tools and capabilities to make your environment super robust and secure IF and this is the big IF you have the !!!!!! to know how to do it. I deal daily with customers who thought that by going cloud they. would be making a huge saving only to find costs spiralling, customer satisfaction going through the floor and opening themselves up to major security breaches because they really had no clue on how to secure their platform. It's a bit like the guy who wants to save money by fixing his own car, buys the workshop manual but really doesn't have any mechanical skills, knowledge or the requisite tools. It's going to end in tears.

    Hi Folks
I am having a bit of trouble getting my installer to turn on the Octopus Charge option in my web portal.  Is there a way of contacting Lux direct to ask them to do this?
    Thanks
  • I wish I'd checked on here when I started having problems setting charge times last week.
I spent ages trying to sort it out without much success.

I don't have a Lux inverter but it can't hurt to email Lux direct and ask.
Searcging the forum, I see you were given their contact details last year:
