Debit card payments to pay money in to accounts are not money transfers.

No (last) £2 this month here (yet) even though the DD and £1000 requirements met. Also a £500 DC payment made for good measure.

Weirdly no interest on one (of three) Vantage accounts yet too. Again even though the DD and £1000 criteria met.

Let's see what the rest of the day brings.

My main Reward account is missing the £2, however, my other 3 Reward accounts have received the £2.  Apparently, they "had a few glitches" yesterday (unsurprisingly) and they don't seem to know who it affected or why (they couldn't even tell whether I'd re-registered to keep as Reward) and are "hoping things will be resolved today".

No £2 for me (yet) but they did pay two lots of £2 into the account last month so I can't complain.  I did leave the £2 in the account throughout May in case they reclaimed.

I am having a problem paying £500 into PO Savings.

I have 3 Halifax Rewards registered for the new system, last month I tested a  £500 deposit and return, all went perfectly.
    Yesterday I had a problem!
Lets call my Halifax accounts 1,2,3, I have 6 PO accounts
From the PO site I chose an account to use my Halifax debit cards.
Reward 3  £500 went with no problem.
Reward 2 £500 went without problem although this one went through Halifax Secure VISA, gave me a One Time Passcode which I entered and the payment went through.
Reward 1 tried to pay and went through same procedure as Reward 2 above, but this time I get the message on the PO site, "We are experiencing some technical difficulties with our site. We’re sorry for any inconvenience and are working to fix the issue as soon as possible. If you’d like to speak with someone, you can call us on 0800 169 7500** for Savings."

I have tried several times using Firefox and Internet Explorer with the same negative result.

I called the number above and despite the message being on the PO site the adviser said there is nothing wrong with their end. He said delete your History, I told him this never works a sI have had similar experiences with other sites over the years but it never cures the problem. However I did clear History and guess what? It made no difference.
I just tried again today and have the same result.

Any ideas how I can make this DC payment?

Just tried another DC payment from Reward 3 DC, that worked OK yesterday and as it starts the Visa Secure it then goes immediately to the message as above,"We are experiencing some technical difficulties with our site. We’re sorry for any inconvenience and are working to fix the issue as soon as possible. If you’d like to speak with someone, you can call us on 0800 169 7500** for Savings."

  • I missed the deadline to opt in to the new reward a few weeks ago, however today I now have the option from the app to select the new reward scheme. I would be interested to know if anyone has made a £500 deposit to a savings account which is now showing as a registered transaction under 'track my reward' before I opt in to the new reward myself? I have Kent Reliance and Post Office accounts that I could use to make payments.
