I'm quite optimistic about it, however, as when I called to register my choice(s), there was a message "to register another account, press [#]". It seems an unusual message to include if they want to cull the multiple account herd
Using different words, it;s exactly what I said in item 1 of my original message. I too am optimistic for the 3 items signaled there.
 Guys,
Is there a way to receive a notification every time someones posts a message on this thread, as its commonplace in other forums?
Having to constantly refresh the browser tab its not quite comfortable,0

Quite frankly making a choice on our behalf by such an arbitrary method like selecting the first account, or the last, or the lowest account number, or the highest, or .....?pphillips said:In the case of multiple sole or joint accounts registered with the robot, I would have thought it would be the first account that meets the criteria for a reward payment each month. I have no inside information and will be interested to hear whether the extra payments are forthcoming.
Simply put Halifax CANNOT apply neither of those on their own accord.
Again when transfers, spendings and savings could all be in the wrong accounts already.
 Will see.

Not sure if I made sense before, but I wasn't talking about Halifax making a choice on behalf of customers. I was talking about the customer making a time based choice by meeting the criteria on one of their sole accounts and/or one of their joint accounts (holding £5000 or making a £500 debit card payment), that account would then be nominated for the reward payment. The customer would then not be able to trigger additional rewards on any of their other accounts.portenio said:

            OK.
When I received the original e-letter in my secure inbox with them on 12 or 13 March, I was shown the 2 eligible reward accounts to be switched over.
Nowhere in that letter it says that only 1 account of those has to be selected for the choice thru the phone number provided. That along with the other 3 items I posted earlier, is what keeps me optimistic.
Look I am not trying to twist the T&C's in my favour, like some others do here.
It is that Halifax left so many loose ends in the wording that we can well think the assumptions we are making are right. Or wrong. In 2 days time we will hopefully know.2

I've got 2 & both set up for the £500 debit card spend. I'm going to recycle £500 thru via ratesetter. So we'll see if I get 2 rewards or not.pphillips said:

Keep posting here about your plans for your multiple accounts - that saves Halifax the trouble of having to think of all the options they have to block 🤬3

I'm always happy to continue discussions by PM, I can understand why some people wouldn't want to talk about it on a public forum.colsten said:Keep posting here about your plans for your multiple accounts - that saves Halifax the trouble of having to think of all the options they have to block 🤬2

You can only have one sole and one joint reward account. You can’t have two sole reward accounts according to the letter. You can only have one sole and one joint reward account. You can’t have two sole reward accounts according to the letter.

It let me convert two. Usually these are more geared to new applicants & sometimes the systems can't deal with grandfathered rights so can get away with it. No harm in trying.stclair said: You can only have one sole and one joint reward account. You can’t have two sole reward accounts according to the letter. If it doesn't work, I'm still £1 a month better off & will just close one of them0
