BAA strike

not amused you should do some research....... firstly i agree baa wont cave in till the strike dates are announced. secondly they already know the union will get a mandate for strike action but they carnt be seen to be backing down yet. as far as your government comment . they backed down in a similar situation with the teachers. as for crappy jobs i dont call saving peoples lives crappy but then again your not very educated are you. lastly you want me to worry about young people buying houses when you dont give a damn about other peoples problems. as it happens iam worried for the future of young people buying houses but thats where u and me differ.......0

Look little boy.
You should really read what i write slowly so you can digest it, read it again and then reply.
That way you might not make yourself look an ever bigger knob than you already are doing.
Firstly i am not in any union, secondly i do not support the BAA or Virgin strike for whetever reason.
Now, as a father who has spent over £3500 on a dream Christmas holiday for my children (FYI they have hardly got any gifts) i think i might be entitled to be a bit peeved when some nugget who chose his job and chooses to stay in his job, wakes up one day and decides to ruin hundreds of thousands of innocent peoples holiday for his own gain. If you dont find that selfish then you are a bigger fool than i first assumed.
So Vermont, can i suggest you walk away quietly back to the ball pool you came from with your tail firmly between your legs.0 -

Reading these posts, we will loose as much sleep about you, or anyone else loosing their holidays as you all would about us loosing our pensions.
But when BAA back down and we win, safeguarding ours and future worker's pension, I will enjoy my retirement and look laughing at my neighbour who worked all their life to make someone else rich.
Over and out.
The exact kind of reply that can only be expected from a selfish ignorant fool like yourself.
Cannot face the music or the fact that really the public are not behind you so you leave. Will you be one of the strikers hidden meekly behind their placard?
I suspect so.0 -
sturll ....... i see ur back but still minus any b******s .. so go away grow some then come back....... ive got about as much interest in your holiday as u have in my pension..... hope that clears it up 4u....... the only person u should be annoyed and peeved with is stephen nelson and you would have realised that days ago if that small walnut between ur ears had been educated in anyway0

Vermont100,
I have done my research. I have read every bit of info possible regarding this strike and the justification is not there. I say this not as a traveller, but as a fellow worker and taxpayer.
BAA may cave in, and you may all dance around with joy and puff out your chests, but the reality is, if they know that they can attain those profits, the cuts will be made elsewhere, like staff redundancies. Ask the teachers. The pensions are safe (for now) but their working hours are longer than ever with no extra money.
And for the record, I had a perfectly good education, which is more than I can say for you judging by your spelling and grammar. I must have reasonable intellect, because I manage to run my own business and keep nearly 50 people in employment. Oh and I also find the time to work in the voluntary sector, so obviously I do have some compassion in me.0 -
sturll ru in management because you certainly sound like management using wods like knob and little boy and ball pool your really quite entertaining......... im waiting for ur next sentences of wisdom .....it really is better then the morcambe and wise show.......... thats another rib gone0

ok not to get involved in the political discussion of whether the strike is right but does anyone know what time the answer on the strikes is due tomorrow? I need to be ready to sort out alternatives if necessary!!

I am not in management no. But i can say i am happy in my employment and have a very healthy pension to look forward to.
I disagree with this being like Morcambe and Wise, its more like watching a public whipping. Since that is what most users on here are doing to you.
In regards to my education, whilst i agree that all jobs deserve credit if you had bothered to get an education can i suggest you might not be complaining about losing your pension since you could have found a job with a good pension fund or funded one yourself. If you choose to accept a job then you must - as the terms of your agreement with your employer state accept their policy. Not feel the need to go crying to the Union every time you miss a whiff of someones fart. That said i would usually at least commend you for having a job. If you actually concentrated on working rather than what might or might not happen to a future employee. (Who too will accoet the terms of their employment)
Your grammar and prose is very uneducated and sloppy and is certainly akin to someone who who could probably do without taking days off striking. Perhaps whilst on strike you could partake in an OU course? I certainly feel that you are too uneducated to debate properly and maturely on a subject such as this. I guess you are simply a sheep.
I feel you are bitter though, bitter that you holiday in Skegness in a leaky caravan for a long weekend every two years, whilst others like myself are privileged enough through our own hard work and determination to branch out a little and see the world.
If you take nothing from this Vermont, please i beg of you take this little piece of advice, it will most certainly improve your CV if nothing else.
After a full stop, we start the next sentence with a capital letter.

Thank you.
Although it is extremely one sided. Only an impartial paper on the subject would really be worth its salt.0
