Morning all. Drum roll please - I have hoovered upstairs, at last! And spot-treated the stair and LR carpets to try and remove DH's coffee spill stains
and watered the plants on the landing windowsill
I was supposed to be going out for lunch with my friend, but she has called off, so - if he gets a move on - I might be taken out for lunch by DH instead. Either way , Rosie will have her walk; the only question is whether she will also get a trip to her favourite cafe with a sausage treat. I will make sure that we are back in time for coffee and cake with my friend nearer home, later this afternoon, if she feels up to it, otherwise it will have to be next week.
DH is in a mood because I pointed out that he had clearly not washed his hands because the soap was still dry!
Well done on dealing with the phonecall, Fayolle, and good luck with the haircut xx

Work done, post office visited, another ebay item sold, some super yellow sticker reduced bits bought from the Co-op, kiddies eating tea. Survived my day of bonkers lessons too 🥳🥳
I have a small load in the WM which will go on the airer. The taxman has sent me a letter so I may, just may, get some tax back on my next pay. We shall see.
Have lovely evenings all xx9 -

Been very busy catching up washing as weather has been bright and breezy.
I have emptied my airing cupboard today by 50% so lots of spare bedding going for donation today. Been sorting through one of kitchen base units for stuff to donate too. Cleaned out and reorganised storage drawers in dining room too, so they are s lot easier to open and close now. Did a small shop at Mr Al today, a bit miffed lots of empty space on shelves, so was very careful with what I bought..
Going to have a brew quietly, then catch up with Fred xxxThe cold never bothered me anyway8 -

Parents evening was.. interesting.
Squeak is perfect and wonderful and extremely quiet..
Pixie is Very cleve, performing at the top of her year group.. she is the youngest in her class by a whole year, and should have been in the year below had she not arrived early. Her writing it beautiful, she whizzes through maths and chooses to do the harder sheets and push herself.
Dot is very intelligent.. and performing way below her abilty because she cannot focus, is distracted, doodles on her work or crams it all into little spaces in her book. She is crying because I said we would work on her spellings.. she has EATEN this weeks list, apparently they are just too hard.. and she has to learn times tables.. Her writing was cute.. 'he herd a sqweim for help' ..

Getting pinks to bed and finding food.. a strawberry lace and an apple are not very filling!

Pigpen sounds like Dot needs a bit of support at school but I am guessing she probably isn't getting the help she needs. Bless her eating her spellings, I feel a bit like that at work sometimes.
So long day, stew done in SC, floors mopped and hoovered, 1 load of washing done, 7 hours of paid stuff, 1 voluntary meeting, bathroom swished and a blood test to check my thyroid levels. DS is at hospital tomorrow for a blood test and looking at him I have a feeling we might be in for a blood transfusion.
Thanks for the kind words everyone, it really matters right now.9 -
(((Hugs)) YL , and posivibes for your DS.
Pigpen, I do hope the school will support Dot in every way possible - including pushing for her assessment asap.
We went out for lunch at the forest cafe - cheap but delicious food, and Rosie got her sausage and then enjoyed a run through the woods (she was running, not me!). Since we came home I have done some more detective work on my friend's family and finally run them to earth in the 1881 census: one family group split into two places, with some 'interesting' spellings and a complete hash of the facts caused by an enumerator becoming distracted by a page turnThis evening I sat and watched rubbish TV and even more rubbish news, so tomorrow morning I shall have to get up early to prepare for a meeting followed by the Toddler Group. This week I must remember to take the bread and spread, so that we can make the toast snack beloved of the LOs, as well as a sharp knife to cut the apples!

(((Hugs))) to YL, asb, and all flylady angels xx
I've got the bathroom floor in my sights as a Weekend Willi job - so I've treated myself to a bucketI've had the mop for years ages. Is it wrong to be excited at the prospect of cleaning the bathroom floor? And then keeping it clean. I will earn my flylady badge eventually
Having the right tools for the job will help. I can get down on my hands and knees to scrub, but getting up again ….hmmmm. Challenging is the word.
Paid stuff today - covering two jobs due to Annual Leave, but then it's my turn to 'escape' next weekI'm on countdown hehe
Have a good day my lovely ladies
