Drum roll please, I have completed the kitchen list. Repair men, yes it took two of them, will be back next week. Errand run for DD and more car cleaning done. We've had a power cut here, back on now, but house alarms are going off all round the village and poppet is spooked.Spend less now, work less later.10

Evening all!Thank you for the threads Valli and Natty.MIA again as the sickness bug finally got to me - either my cleaning wasn't up to scratch, or it was because I was doing all of the cleaning, that I caught it. Keeping my fingers firmly crossed that DS1 (the only one not to have caught it so far) doesn't get it. Still feeling a bit weak and wobbly today as it was my first day out of bed and back to normal mothering duties. Not much flying done today at all I'm afraid. However, I did take DS2 to visit his new nursery and we have 2 settling in sessions booked in for some Monday mornings in the next couple of weeks. He will start officially after Easter. This afternoon was spent filling in 6 different forms - 4 for DS2 and 2 for DS1. My lack of handwriting in every day situations was really showing after form number 2 - I kept making mistakes! lolWill go an quickly do a bit of fluttering in the kitchen, which actually isn't looking too bad - just a few crumbs, as the last thing I did before the sicky bug struck was to clean everywhere in case it got me (including emptying and cleaning out the bins with disinfectant spray).Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20178

Sexymouse - I like the dettol antibac spray (in aerosol cans) when tummy bugs loom - cheapest from B&M/Savers (half the price of the supermarkets).

could DS's GF opt for paperless and save electronic copies somewhere safe to keep them private
A busy day at work, then I visited Dad before coming home to vegetate in front of the tv - I've discovered a channel playing 70s music, so I'm taking a trip down memory lane.
Minimal flying as usual on a work day - but I'm happy just to keep the recycling going out of the door and the birds fed.
Take care

Luckily whenever we have a sickness bug, I tend to stockpile antibac sprays, so I have a few of the clear sprays and the dettol surface spray that smells of pomegranate that I use for everything that can be rinsed. I sprayed the aerosol in the bathroom air after DH dozily flushed the toilet with the lid open when he'd been sick 🤦 DS1 has been set up with "the bucket" in his room just in case and I've refused to go over to my Mum's house tomorrow or in the future when the niece and nephew are there (the source of the bug) unless they are fully recovered. I know that germs can be picked up anywhere, but there's a difference between normal everyday risks and knowingly exposing DS2 and myself to already sick children for the sake of them socializing with each other.Right, as DS1 has sports week all week and therefore has to go into school in sports wear all week as well, I need to go and wash his PE kit again before tomorrow as apparently the fact that his tracksuit trousers were red on Monday, meant that they weren't sportswear according to the children in his class, so he was peer-pressured into changing his clothes. 😡Oh no! Just heard DS1 running to the bathroom.

So late, but still here at last. Thank you for the lists and for all the hard work to keep this thread going. Thank you to the FL who made pigpen so happy. Thank you for all flyladies for being you.
It’s been a strange old week so far - no flying beyond working, cooking, washing, ironing, repeat. I’m not feeling in control of anything, and not sleeping brilliantly. DH’s family are all in lockdown in Italy, which is a bit unsettling for him, I think.
Tomorrow is my day off. This evening I need to write a list so that I get my ‘arris in gear and don’t waste the day. I also need to make a phone call in the morning which I am dreading.
Shopping list to write now, and a meal plan to use up the contents of the fridge which seems to be mostly mushrooms and grapes. There could be interesting meals ahead.7 -
Helllo Flylady friends. Well I have spent most of the last week sleeping on a campbed in hospital, trying to encourage DS to eat/drink/take medication, dealing with sick bowls and IV pumps, wiping tears, holding his hand and telling him he is going to get through this and at one point wrestling his blanket off him during a temperature spike. Arrived home utterly exhausted to find a little card in the post box and it turned out to be just the kindest, most lovely gesture from a dear friend who I have never even met face to face. You have no idea my love how much better it made me feel, the timing was perfect.
So, the chemo is done. Now we wait 6 weeks to find out if the cancer is gone. A little normality can start to return, I am well and truly back with you and even looking forward to a bit of flying.

Fayolle sending you strength to get through that phone-call tomorrow. xYorkshirelass that sounds like such a tough week. I'm so pleased that you had that kind gesture when you got home. Keeping my fingers firmly crossed that the cancer is gone in 6 weeks. You're such a strong Mummy! Sending you virtual hugs. xJust wiped down the surfaces and small appliances in the kitchen, put a washload on, and set DH onto the washing up as a few bits missed the dishwasher. Checked on DS1 and luckily he's fast asleep so the toilet run must have been a false alarm.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20178
