tboo said:pigpen said:the problem is if they send a reminder you only get 1 in a 12 month period so if you miss a payment in March and get a reminder then miss another in November you immediately get a court summons.. so obviously I don't want a reminder because I have no idea what might happen throughout the year..Pigpen - the reminders start from the new financial year which is April, so if you do incur a 1st reminder this month then you'll be ok for this year

Got locked out of here again. Sigh.
Busy all week, usual stuff compounded by People Old Enough And Important Enough To Know Better completely losing their stuff over somebody with a panic attack and calling an ambulance, causing a near meltdown from the ensuing rumour mill.
Now very glad to be on the settee. I suspect that I will need to do some Saturday morning cleaning as Himself has been 'in charge' and I'm fed up of the layer of grime covering everything.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll11 -
Quick catchup while it is still Friday! the week has rushed by with the usual gym, drumming, keeping up with emails, keeping up (NOT) with report writing, occasionally flying (although making big effort to keep tidier, which is working). Of course all the above makes me tired so too much slobbing with old Midsomer Murders/tablet time.
Most flying has been done today as we have visitors arriving tomorrow so:
went to Mr T (did not buy toilet rolls)
did a thorough kitchen clean: wudupa, one load through dw, one load through wm hung out, brought in and put away. Cleared all worktops, filing/flinging as needed. Swept floor - won't mop it till tomorrow as I aim to make a cake and if I wash it today undoubtedly I'll fling flour etc everywhere. Menu planned for visitors.
Meanwhile Mr N blitzed spare room and bathroom, then we both did the lounge/diner.
Also did some drumming practice and a bit of report writing. Uni still open at present. Like many of you, I won't get paid if it shuts as I'm a freelance/contractor; I get paid a flat rate per assessment. However, in the case of shutdown I guess most assessments will just be postponed so I will get the work eventually.
Looks like our planned motorbike trip in Spain and Morocco in May is unlikely. Hoping on a much smaller scale that the theatre tickets I got for my Mum for Mother's day will still be possible on 27th.
Tomorrow's plan:
Do ParkRun.
Make cake.
Do flower arrangements for lounge and guest bedroom.
Do more report writing.
Final tidy/clear/veg prep, friends arriving after lunch.
Hugs to all, YL really thinking of you. Pigpen shame your daughter isn't my age group/condition for assessment, hope it gets sorted soon.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.9 -
I just wanted to say ladies, I am so glad to be back with you all, lurking and checking in with a flyreport most days.
Wrestling the black dog takes all my strength, so starting my flying early before everyone is awake is making a difference, that plus compromised immunity means I am avoiding other humans as much as possible so making time pass keeping everything disinfected.
I might actually end up with nothing to carry over this week, but that depends on what destruction happens with the young skints this weekend.Magnificent Monday -100% completeTuesday Thrills - 100% CompleteWipy Wednesday - Master Bedroom/BoudoirLevel 2 Partially completeClean windows, frames and sills (and wipe the open frames to clear dust and debris)Thursdays are Trilling!! - Living pit, hallway, stairs!!Level Two... partially completedWash the windows inside and out!Vacuum under the furniture you can safely move!Level Three... partially completedClean the sofasWipe all the paintwork!Extras Partially completeWash any smelly soft furnishingsGet a pile of filing done!!Friday - those frightening Friday kids rooms and spare roomsLevel Two.... partially completedWipe any sticky marks off walls and doorsExtras.. partially completedWash a set of curtains, nets or throwHHIBake a cake
I bought a load of batteries in case needed for smoke detector and kids toys. Found leaky batteries in a few and sorted appliances with cotton buds and emery board for corrosion, only a few were unsalvageable after some TLC.
So going to hunt down stray devices and check batteries before taking my hearty collection to recycling. The cold never bothered me anyway8 -
Morning all. Thanks for the reminder about batteries. I used the last 9v one in our alarm clock and don't want the smoke detector beeping all night.
will possibly do flying and gardening today around the dailies and dog walk.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.10 -

Ahhh Day 1 of my 11 days off. It's tipping with rain and I feel bleugh, so maybe that should be Arrrghhh!I've been tired all week so I'm going to have a lazy day. Maybe even a read a book day. I am washed and dressed, my bed is made, and the washing is sorted in to loads, first load done and artfully arranged on radiators and airer, second load swishing.
I will feed the birds but I'm out of seed and my refill is in DS's car which is locked. I will put out the recycling. I may even WUDUPA, but breakfast first.
Happy Birthday to asb's DS
