    ignore it then, but keep a look out for any court action (if it does come)?
    Is that what you got from Fruitcake's post?

    Please can you answer all of his questions.

    * Alliance Parking issued the fine, A S parking are the ones dealing with the fine/ replies/ email
    * lease agreement mentions along the lines of 'monitored by external security firms...tenants responsibility to abide by regulations...then says if permit is not available or unable to display a permit... tenants should park in unrestricted areas to avoid penalties' - that is all that is mentioned.
    I had a valid permit displayed too...
    The parking sign outside states;
    A PCN will be issued for the sum of £100 if;
    1. present and a valid permit is not displayed face up on dashboard or atached to wind screen...
    2. parked outside of a single marked bay, in part or whole
    I have been charged £60
    I wouldn't know where to look for the land owner as they are apartments and residential housing?
    I haven't complained to land owner or MP as only received it tonight
    It still is not a fine.

    Whilst Alliance and AS share the same address, they are registered at Companies House as two separate companies.

    I would be asking AS Parking why they are sending you demands for money when you have never had any dealings with them. This assumes the signs in the car park, if there are any, refer to Alliance parking.
    This is further ammo for your landowner/MA complaints, as well as complaints to your MP about this unregulated scam. One company has been employed to scam genuine residents at your place of abode, but you are receiving demands for money with menaces from a completely different company that you have never heard of.

    According to the Companies House website, AS Parking are showing their Company status as, Active — Active proposal to strike off, possibly because they have failed to supply a confirmation statement, whatever that is, to Companies House.

    As for, "along the lines of" with regards to your lease/AST, that is not much help. You need to read, understand, and quote the exact words.
    Thanks for getting back to me Fruitcake,
    You are right in that AS parking have sent me the email, but the signs around the car park are property of Alliance parking. (if you need a photo of the sign I can provide one).
    with respect to the lease;- "Some apartment blocks may have parking regulations in place which are monitored by external security firms. It is the tenants responsibility to observe any parking notices and abide by the regulations within. Parking permits should be used where necessary. If a permit is not available or the tenant is unable to display a permit in the vehicle, tenants should park in unrestricted areas so as to avoid penalties."
    This does seem very broad, there are also no 'unrestricted areas' on the land and like I said, its a couple minutes drive to find a parking space where I can park for free!

    So you would suggest emailing AS parking to see why they're sending me fines and that I do not have to answer to them/ send them anything?
    I will also get in touch with the landlord and send a letter to my MP tomorrow.
    Apologies I have one more question, could you expand on the MA abbreviation as I am unaware of the meaning.
    Many Thanks

    It is still not a fine! Surely you know not to use that expression and give it some air of legitimacy?

    MA = Management Agent/Agency.

    Yes, complain to AS stating that since they do not have a contract to operate on the site where the keeper lives, they should cease and desist any and all contact with you. Ignore them after that.
    Do complain to the landowner/MA that you are being harassed for payment by a company you have never heard of and does not have a contract to operate n the site.

    Complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.

    Sorry not a fine! If I refer to fine I meant/ mean notice!

    Okay I will sort it in the morning and give you an update soon!

    Many thanks again!

    For what it's worth, my vehicle got a parking charge from A S Parking over four years ago, and no further past the debt letter stage - it has yet to go anywhere near a court room (although they do get 6 years to try , I believe).

    I don't believe A S Parking / Alliance are prepared to take their charges to court, so I don't think you should worry at all about that happening. That's no guarantee of course, so I would keep all the paperwork you receive in a little file or folder somewhere, but I expect the furthest it will go is the debt recovery letter, which is just a standard practice, and isn't something you should panic about receiving.

    Check the paperwork you have received from A S Parking Ltd for a company registration number; because Companies House are showing that A S Parking Ltd are dormant, (i.e not trading).

    AS parking had sent me an email containing a PDF for the appeal rejection. If I open the PDF it is paperwork from Alliance Parking. Nothing on the paperwork attached has anything to do with A S parking. The only thing AS parking have to do with it, is that they are the sender of the document?

    Can I make the assumption that my appeal has not been processed/ rejected until Alliance parking tell me otherwise?

    Don't make assumptions, make the statements and complaints as already advised.

    twcat, I was thinking the same thing. How can a dormant company that does not have a contract to operate on the OP's residential site be sending demands for money with menaces?
    Are they declaring any income to HMRC?

    I'd suspect that they are using "A S Parking" as a trading name of Athens Security Services Ltd (No 6379383), a sister company of Alliance Parking UK Ltd
