What the solicitor has asked for is unlawful.
No it's not (well it's NOT something to complain about to the Court at pre-hearing stage, and make an idiot of posters here).  You are sending people on wild goose chases.

It is not contempt of court to try to settle claims with 'without prejudice' offers and the Defendant will look horribly unreasonable to start ranting about WP offers.

The D is not even lawfully allowed to refer the Court to and disclose WP comms at this stage!

Re BW Legal's letters: one of them is responding to the £30 offer you made, and the other is a template 'offer' and BW will say they are merely trying to recover a debt and are acting on instructions from the PPC.

    No it's not (CM)

Are you saying that Schedule 4 of POFA allows inflated claims CM?  If so please point me to it.

It's not *unlawful*, which is what C-M was responding to. Context is important.
It's a pre action stage to settle an alleged debt. They can ask for any damned amount they like.

Are you saying that asking for an amount which is more than POFA allows is lawful?    A simple yes or no will suffice.

    Yes
in a ore action letter looking for settlement.as long as they do not imply a law grants them the right to recover that amount
because there are no laws governing this part ...As you well know
now, if you disagree, cite the laws.

Just reminding us all that your case is adjourned until later this year, which is good.
If you get an Order about a telephone hearing then you know the thread to read, but it looks like this court is not planning that right now.

I would like to see someone challenging the legality of telephone hearings.

But wouldn't that need a hearing to determine? 🤣
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
