Mysupermarket closing - alternatives?

Still, thanks to drspa44 for the alternative suggestion, although if current form is anything to go by, this post will probably self destruct, or be deleted for some unfathomable reason before I return to the forum for another visit. I guess I'll just take any money-saving suggestions elsewhere, where the staff actually appreciate relevant content.

Thanks. Trolley.co.uk seems really good. Ive noticed they have price history on the products which was a useful missed feature on MySupermarket

The post you have quoted was referring to a user advertising their own website/app/site which is against mse rules. 

Your post will not self destruct or be deleted as their is no self promo in it. 

Not sure what you mean about staff appreciating relevant content as it’s rare for actual MSE staff to comment on individual posts. (‘although they do occasionally)

I used to religiously use the mysupermarket app to compare the prices of my favourite food items at different supermarkets.  The app has now closed down.  Can anyone recommend something similar please?  Thank you.

Trolley.co.uk and shelfscraper are the two most spoken about on this thread. I'm not sure if they have an app though but the online websites are good enough for me for now.

Just got an email from Trolley that they've added new stores. I'm seriously impressed with the way they are adding stuff to the website. Only issue is they lack an app which is an inconvenience for me. 

I believe they have 15 shops right now, don't quote me on it though.

I use trolley and find it good, but always check on the individual supermarkets site via the "visit shop" icon just to double check the price. I have saved as an incon on my phone screen and just use that when out and about. My only issue is the price alerts, I have tried with 2 different type of email addresses and still not received a single alert.  That is the thing I miss most about mysupermarket the fact you never missed offers because it let you know with an email.
