It's a situation that has not been seen since the 1918 influenza pandemic. Modern society and financial systems will have to adjust. I can't see markets being closed down in the short term so volatility is likely to continue. It's certainly encouraging that human vaccine trials have started and much research is being done.

Flippant choice of words on an otherwise very serious day. Was actually reading a Fool article on the 250 as a good opportunity buy, but yes,
you'd need a strong stomach for mid caps right now...

Then follow the FTSE 250 and await a buying opportunity. No need to dive in immediately. Plenty of bad news to come yet.
