Booked a trip to norway in Feb 2020 for a trip jan 2021 using Norwegian air. However Norway has just announced due to covid restrictions not letting in non eu nationals after 31st December 2020 uk nationals will not be allowed to enter.
Norwegian airways are not engaging with me . Obviously if I turn up on the day they will refuse me boarding or if they do fly me there they will refuse me entry, possibly fine the airline and ship me straight back . They are obviously hoping I will cancel but I won't be.
Thoughts ( remember I bkd this before this b4 the pandemic so cannot reasonably have forseen this)0 -

The balance of my May holiday (booked pre covid) is due in a couple of weeks . I think the advice last year for this situation was to pay holiday balances to enable the ATOL/ABTA protection to kick in but I can't find a mention anywhere so is that still the case ?

Hi my daughter was due to fly back to university but government have said they must not return but stay in the residence they are currently at. Can she recover her flight cost and if so from whom?0

You are not giving much away Dave.
Perhaps have a look at the unnamed airline website to see if they are offering a travel waiver such as a credit to use in the future, or to reschedule to a much later date.

It’s EasyJet they have sent email confirming travel cancellation to send to my insurance.0

Did you look at the options given by Easyjet? - https://www.easyjet.com/en/help/preparing-to-fly/latest-travel-information
It however seems like you have initiated a cancellation and have a cancellation letter to submit to your insurers. If this is the case I hope your insurer pays out. Seems that will be the end of it as far as Easyjet are concerned.0 -
Hi,just wondering if anybody has experienced the same as our family.we booked a holiday in may to tenerife through love holidays.it was cancelled.took a long time but eventually got a refund for the accommodation and then one for the flights off ryanair. In the mean time the wife booked another holiday to Furventura, this was for august 15 for 10 days.(wedding anniversary)this again was through love holidays.2 weeks approx before we were due to fly out love holidays emailed me and said spain had gone back into lock down and the holiday had been cancelled.again we could choose ,rebook, voucher or cash.we choose cash as with work didn't know what was happening yet.we heard nothing off ryanair at all, then at the last minuet got an email saying that we needed to fill in some forms before flying and wear a mask for the full flight.i did try and amend the flights for this year but they wanted 700 pounds extra which i didn't have.they hadn't paid the first refund yet.i have spoken and emailed Ryanair numerous times but they say "we still flew out" so no refund is due.is there any thing else i can do as i think losing nearly £1300 is a bit much.after all if we had flown out we had no where to stay.very dissatisfied with ryanair and will never use them again.sorry its very long winded

So after struggling to obtain a refund from Love Holidays on one vacation you booked another one with them ?0
