Hi
No, flights all separate. This was a booking just for the train.....0 -
I would give Amex a go, tell them it's been cancelled and you would like a refund.
Not sure how you will get on, but I feel your options are limited to that or any insurance.

My travel insurers have issued an FAQ that states that if a holiday booking is cancelled by the holiday company and only an alternative date or credit note is offered, even I reject these, they will not pay out if the holiday company refuses a cash refund. Also, if I accept the alternative, this will not be covered at all for cancellation because it is a new booking. This means that the very fact that an alternative date or a credit note is offered, de-validates the insurance claim.
This appears to be a retrospectively imposed exclusion clause just to avoid their obligations.

I really don't believe this will stand up in the long run once challenged
Basically they are telling people that they have to go on holiday but also telling them that if they do they aren't covered if they take that holiday
Can't think for one moment that will be classed as fair

I have a group of 10 holiday booked with TUI to go to Greece 4th August. The balance has to be paid by13th May. One of the group has lost his job due to the pandemic and he and his wife are realistically unable to pay. How do we all stand if they decide to cancel?0

An accommodation in Rhodes, Greece are refusing to refund me, only offering a voucher with change of date. Booked through Booking.com and they’re saying I can claim a refund back through the Force Majeure clause... but, it needs to be updated to cover my check in date ( 3 May ). Currently only covers the period up to 30 April..
One operator before stated the U.K. was exempt from this clause?? Another argued the FCO advisory against all non-essential travel overseas for British Nationals was just a strong warning and not a ban. I’ve also read that anyone arriving into Greece has to enter mandatory quarantine for 14 days and self-isolate. Wouldn’t this alone be discourse for a refund?
They all say something different every time you call.

We booked a holiday to Florida Disney and Toronto for July 17th this year through a travel agent. On booking we paid £800 deposit with the balance due on 24th April. I spoke to the travel agent at beginning of lockdown and they said we can transfer our holiday to next year. The problem with doing it then was that Disney have not said if they are doing free disney dining for next year yet so we would not be getting like for like, and without the free dining there is the extra cost of food for a family of 4 to consider. I have waited to see if Disney release any offer and as they haven't am wondering what to do. I have looked on the Air Canada website and see that our flights from Manchester to Toronto have been cancelled and they have put us on flights from London Heathrow instead. We really don't want to fly from London as we live up north and we already have a indirect flight to Tampa via Toronto and so don't want to do the extra leg to Heathrow too. Do we have to accept a change of flight/route or can we refuse it and ask for our deposit back? Would it class as a cancellation on their part due to the original route we booked being cancelled, entitling us to a refund of our deposit? The travel agent has not informed us of this big change to our itinerary or been in touch about payment of our balance.0

You have to accept a small change in time of flight, but certainly NOT a change of airport.
You would be due a refund as if booked together it's a package holiday

I have a holiday booked to Florida in September with Virgin and have so far only paid the deposit. We were planning to attend the theme parks, and I would imagine things will not be as enjoyable and back to normal by the time the holiday comes. I am erring on the side of cancelling but will obviously lose my deposit. Has anyone had similar experiences or advice.0
