I have booked with Ryanair to go to Malaga on Tuesday. Although the FCO advise is not to travel to Spain the flight has not been cancelled and Ryanair are refusing to allow me to claim a refund. What are my rights?0

hello, my dilemma is i have a flight to mallorca on Monday 16th March (tomorrow am) its last Easy Jet flight out and none returning until 30th March, i am due to return on 27th March. FCO has advised to travel if i do insurance will be invalidated, i can't reorganise flights as I don't known when I can next go. I can't get a refund, if I dont turn up I risk loosing money, can't get through to call centre by phone or via online chat to ask for advice. went to airport and easy jet staff no help. I should be covered by my insurance to claim for refund on flight but only of i comply with airlines policy! any reassurance appreciated0

MrsG2006 said:we are booked to go to Nashville with BA flying out 9th April, hotel booked through BA as well. If the holiday (which I am guessing will be as flights to USA banned from UK) is cancelled, can I ask to be rebooked for the same flights and hotel at a later date without having to pay any extra or will they just refund what we've already paid and then I would need to rebook? The reason I ask is because I booked during the BA sale last year and there's no way we will be able to go there for the same price if we have to rebook.
We were due to go to Boston on 4th April, I'd booked a flydrive, I had an email from BA a couple of hours ago telling me that they had cancelled my holiday and monies would be put back on the card we paid with, I have just checked prices for about 6 months time and its actually slightly cheaper a saving of about £40Fibro-Warrior0 -
MSE are saying in their comprehensive on-line info' listing that LV will NOT pay out on claims for trip cancellation unless it is that company's Premier policy. They say only Premier ........not the Essential policy version I have.
But I have downloaded the terms of our policy that says <<< if the FCO advises against all travel (or all but essential travel) to your planned destination>>>> they will pay out .... but excludes an excess of £75 on Essential .... and indeed £50 on Premier, NOT that you are not covered at all!!!!
Does anybody have information on this specific issue or can anyone direct me to email of whoever puts together these information lists so I can dispute it with them? Thank you ...0 -
As My flight on Friday is still running and they are only considering refunds on flights cancelled upto Thursday. Does not being allowed on a flight count for a refund? As nobody is allowed to Spain unless its essential my trip is not. They still only have flights more expensive than my original, even then I cannot change it. But flights I would consider are £40 cheaper if I look without login into Ryanair's website.
I've now past it onto my insurance company who's policy is underwritten by AXA as they do cover underlying medical conditions. So they say. AXA are the only company I've had communication with all others either dont answer or have nothing other than a Chat Bot to answer questions which none have updated to include Coronavirus. Ryanair's site still hasn't updated its Covid-19 restrictions yet. I do hope people remember how !!!!!! poor they've been once this is all over.0 -
I have Holiday Safe premier annual multi trip policy as a 70+ and can't see any mention of it in MSE guide in coronavirus. Also can't see any mention in policy of FCO advice. I have 3 holidays booked and though I don't think FCO will advise against travel to them It's looking increasingly likely (based on some European countries being added today and UK's increasing numbers of cases ) that the first 2 countries (Madagascar, Kazakhstan) will refuse me entry as I'm a traveller from the UK. Am I not covered for anything, is it best to cancel and at least get the air taxes back ? etc

I cant find any insurers now providing Coronavirus travel cancellation insurance for new policies, even to countries which the FCO hasnt warned about. Does anyone know of any insurers still providing this type of policy?0
