As foretold by Redx, the appeal was rejected and for the exact reasons stated.
I read it's not worth appealing to IAS, if that's the case should I just wait for court action? My feeling is I should go through due process first?0 -
You have been through the process, the reason that IAS is not recommended is that it is not - despite its apparent "independent" status, NOT independent and the appeal will be rejected. Just wait for the LoC/LBA, take no action about the inevitable debt collector frighteners and then take action when you receive the court claim from Northampton CCBC.4
-
So do nothing until I hear from the court? Would it not go against me that I haven't given the appeal system a chance? Even though it might be a sham.0
-
You will (or should) receive letter of/before claim so you should take action at that point. The advice in the NEWBIE sticky is and has been for a while, not to appeal to what is effectively a kangaroo court. You have tried to mitigate the situation by appealing to the PPC in the first instance. The PPC chose to ignore it.4

Not if you have kids to home school and aged parents to shop for.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2 -
Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated.
I've tried to find the details of the company registered at the location to try to appeal directly to them.
It turns out it's the registered address of Paper Mill Digbeth and one of the two directors is Walton Wilkins' who is also the director of Premier Parking Logistics, so I'm not going down that route!
The other director is listed as Imad Ali Hadrami, has anyone any info on him?
I've now received an NTK, it notifies me that if I don't pay then the next action they take will be the debt collector and the overdue charge will increase to £160. I don't think they can just increase the charge because they choose to use a debt collector so I'm going to sit tight until I hear about court action. Is this my best response? I'm guessing it is having read the Newbie thread, just looking for confirmation here, Thanks James0 -
Looking at PPL accounts they appear to have only ever have £100 "Cash and at Bank" The accounts are called 'Dormant'

Let's hope the current economic crisis due to the pandemic, sees scum firms like PPLogistics fall off the twig.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I hope so, having delved into Walton Wilkins a bit more I can see he's a nasty bit of work, I wonder if I'll meet him in court??2
