Indeed, why would anyone check the ticket, you trust that you've paid, then you go and display. It's all the terms ask you to do.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well, it could be argued the terms say you must display a valid ticket for the duration of your stay, it would be prudent and up to you to check the ticket was correct.0

Anything can be argued against DCBL ? They scam people which is a bad habit they picked up from another failing legal. Have they told you about a case that cost them £10k ??? NOPE
Did they explain why they are entitled to a fake add-on ... NOPE
Did they tell you that the courts spank them over parking claims ... NOPE
Did they tell you that they think you and a judge are mugs ... NOPE
Did they tell you they fully understand the claim ... NOPE
Very odd company who believe in the Fairies

Does their machine issue invalid tickets then?
It could reasonably be argued that if their machine issues invalid tickets, it is faulty..
What is the world coming to such that a company allows their machine to issue invalid tickets and then blames the motorist for their machine's failure?

It can also be argued that if a machine is allowed to automatically conclude contracts - and they are - then they can automatically accept variances to such.Another ppc shill?6

If there was. £3 tariff and a £6 tariff , but no £4 or £5 tariff , then why would a machine accept £5 and issue a ticket for a non existent tariff ?
That doesn't happen with cans of coke or sweet dispensers etc
Plus any would anyone put £5 into a machine for a 1 hour £3 period , doesn't make sense unless they were intending to pay the higher tariff
It's de minimis , it's a clear intention to pay the correct tariff !! End of story , faulty machine , their job to prove otherwise
You are wasting your time trying to put them off , these are mass roboclaims so don't waste your time , it's who blinks first !!
You only get your own data with a SAR , none of that other stuff , different at the WS plus Exhibits plus summary costs assessment stage in several months time
Just assume it's going ahead by the bully boy ex clamper plus their devil dogs and plan accordingly , because their skin is one foot thick with no conscience inside
If you lose in court , say £200 or less , pay up , in full , promptly !! Within one month5 -

I can't understand that either. The excess coins would surely have been rejected. I just wonder if the machine filled up when £5.00 was reached and cut out. It would be busy at that time just before a show.
These companies are dreadful for not maintaining their equipment and car parks. The state of another car park owned by this PPC in the Jewelry Quarter was dreadful in wet weather.

I received a reply to my SAR request quite promptly, but all it contained was the letters they'd sent me, photos of my car with the ticket on the screen, and emails we'd exchanged.
They never supplied a copy of the PDT machine record for the day in dispute.
I guess that wouldn't be classed as data they hold on me?
Other than compiling my defence I imagine I just wait now for a court date?
Looking at the facts I find it hard to believe a judge would side with PPL, but who knows...
Any guesses as to the most likely outcome?

If it has your VRM in there, then it is your personal data.No need to guess what the court process is. The entire thing is on the newbies thread. You know exactly every single step, if you'd just go there and check.3

I understand the procedure and am constantly referring to the newbies thread. I just wanted an opinion, worthless though it may be, on whether it is likely that a judge will simply say I didn't display a valid ticket for the time I was there, regardless of the fact that I'd paid the correct fee. Will the fact that I never noticed the machine had issued a £5 ticket instead of £6 be all that matters and is taken into consideration.
I'm going to argue that the machine should not have issued a ticket for an invalid amount, it shows I paid at least £5 but only issued a £3 ticket, can I argue it should have at least returned the £2 overpayment?
I realise no one knows the answer at this point, just sounding out thoughts.
