Like it or not, our lives are changing as we speak. It is likely that we may never get back to where we were before Christmas.

Businesses will go under, elderly couples will break up due to boredom and loneliness,  single mums will batter their kids, burglaries will increase.  The future looks grim. Already a Supermarket has been looted, for what, toilet rolls and pats? . How long before looters are shot on sight by heavily armed police.and the military?

The last thing people need now is the added worry of a PCN or a court claim dropping through the letter-box. for parking over a white line

Therefore I suggest that we now ignore PCNs completely and fob off the courts with excuses that we cannot leave the house and do not have the time to defend these mendacious claims.

.What do others think?

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

I think you are over reacting. I am willing to have a small wager with you that no looter will be shot on sight in the UK. Payable to a charity of your choice

There will be an end to this and we will return to something close to normal. It will be then that things we decide to ignore will come crawling out of the woodwork. I'd suggest that anyone who gets a PCN continues to follow the advice shown on this forum. If the system does change during the crisis you will still have followed the right process

I wish I shared your optimism but my glass of Blue Nun is half empty.

FWIIW, I am nearly 80 and nearly every decision I have ever made has turned out well.  I may have been immensely lucky but  I only wish I had bought Apple shares when they first came to market.

Likewise my crystal ball was on the blink 3 weeks ago, so I didn't cash out all my positions in my pensions, ISAs and other investments.

I share your thoughts but must agree with Redx that we continue defending this tickets.
This virus will cause problems for the scammers, once the panic buying stops as it will, car parks will suffer whilst people stay indoors

The likes of MET and UKPC have been scuppered because McDonalds are closing all "sit ins" and just allow a drive thru and deliveries. You list many of the problems which will include hotels, anywhere of leisure such as pubs etc ........ It can only result in a big down turn for the scammers. Plus I believe it will not be long before county courts close. Let's face it, they are not the most important part of daily life.

This is a good thread for discussion and how everyone feels Sir Dance

Perhaps the BPA & IPC (being known for good works in the community) will recommend their members become Comminity Wardens:-

Compensated by all those who will go over the stipulated time limit while waiting in lengthy checkout queues in the supermarket or in logjammed car parks.

Beamer, you say you agree with Redx, but you make a very good case for not doing so.   I believe that the problems we face are so huge that these PCNs will become an irrelevance.

Given the emergency we all face, i doubt a judge would take kindly to that

Indeed, if they attempted that it would surely be their undoing
