so, last night I didn't take my phone up to bed with me. I take it up because I can switch the heating on from it. Anyhoo showered, dressed, came down, made breakfast, started eating breakfast, picked up phone a nd FOUR MISSED CALLS all from work. Called in - yes I could go in so headed off, after breakfast, without emptying DW, making bed, tidying kitchen and, as a result have felt off-kilter all day.
Home, tea made, kitchen tidied, DW emptied. Lost 8.5lbs at SW but I didn't believe last week's gain of 6lb - whatever it's a nett loss so I'm happy.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear9 -
Thank you ladies for the thread.
Well done Valli on SW loss
Piggers I was wondering whether you were coming down with something, it doesn’t seem like the old you, but then you have added a few to your workload since I was last really active on here. Please look after yourself x
Today I have
Ironed clothes for work (didn't get the chance by the time I completed all the paperwork last night)
Full day at the paid stuff (10 hours out of the house and so happy!)
DH walked the dog
DH did a load of washing
Hosed the dog down after she went digging in the flower pots - little tw*tCooked dinner, DH helped
Washed up, dried up and put away rather than leaving to drain
Wiped surfaces down
Shined the taps
Now chilling in front of the TV and will then sort clothes for tomorrow and have an early night. Didn’t sleep particularly well last night and I need to leave a bit earlier in the morning as the drive is taking about 40 minutes, don’t want to be late on day 2.

Glad your first day at the new job went well, kazmeister.
I cleaned most of the kitchen this morning - the floor will wait until tomorrow when I have the hoover out to run all round downstairs - then went out for lunch with a friend. Tea tonight was the remains of a fish pie, so not much work involved there. I must remember to start the DW before I go to bed.
Managed to make a necessary phonecall this evening and replied to a babysitting request from DS1
I'm off to bed soon. G'night all.8 -
Evening all, have been struggling with dizziness and a horrible headache all day, that the last thing I felt like was doing any flying or figuring out the colours on HTML again...
So I've been laying on the sofa all day dozing and drinking copious amounts of liquids.
Flying wise I did manage to do an undie wash load, and ironed DH's work shirts for the week.
So glad your first day went okay Kaz
I'm off to bed to see if I can shake all this dizziness and headache off overnight. Tomorrow I want to figure out how to get more posts on a page so that I don't end up with loads of pages to scroll through.

Morning all
Didn’t get back on to post last night, i managed a bit in the kitchen, it was cleaned on Sunday so looks ok. Today I have a long work meeting booked in so not sure how much actual work I will get done. I’m dialling in to it rather than travelling in to the office so at least that’s one bonus.I was awake really early again, can’t seem to sleep too well at present, not sure why. I will do my dailies and a load of laundry before I start work. May also see if I can get out for a quick walk as probably won’t get chance later on.
Have a good day all x7 -

Annoyed that I'm not feeling great today but will plod on. Need to go into town and I want to get back to my exercise class. Will catch up with kitchen jobs today.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.9 -
Round, I keep my WU sponge, scourer, old toothbrush, paintbrush etc in a pot beside the sink (opportunity to keep a sentimental pot) and gloves go on top of it. Hope interview goes well for DS
I need to get on with Flying this week. I know I'm late in but worked all day yesterday and was tired when I got home after worrying about DD2 first day in new job (placement for 20 weeks).
Waiting in for a delivery today as not working until late afternoon, so no excuse.
Bed stripped and in WM
Windows open
Clothes off floor.
Time for more tea and clean stoves and reload as sun in disappearing so house will cool down.
See you later9 -
Morning all,
It’s no work day here, so there should be no excuses....however, I am meeting an old friend for coffee / lunch (arranged since the end of last year), so I’m hoping to do a few jobs before and after.
So far, I have WULTD, done wm x1, put out bins for collection, cleaned kitchen bin, taken DD to school (on grounds that she wanted to revise in the car - didn’t seem to happen), and just cleaned the dw filters. DW is running a clean atm.
Next on list is to clean the ensuite and to mop the kitchen floor. I have an hour...
Round - I keep my dishcloth artfully draped on the sink edge. It reminds me to soak and wash it regularly when someone has used it to wipe up coffee and not rinsed it out... DH uses rubber gloves to wash up with, so those mainly live under the sink as they don’t get overly used, iyswim. 🤣.
HB - my enamel pots are also stained, but I thought that just showed they were well used 😳. As the ones that I inherited from my mum were immaculate, I guess that isn't the case - thanks for the tip, Pigpen, I will give it a go.8 -
Thanks so much for listys Natty and Valli, your hard work is really appreciated getting to grips with the new forum layout.
Sorry, I am late to the party again....but at least I am getting back to you all rather than being MIA for months on end!
Yesterday was Fling Boogie day in the Skint Pit. Donations to 3 different places (to those that REALLY want/need it) plus one garden dump run.
WM on the go, kitchen worksurfaces, sink/drainer, kitchen doors all wiped down. stained teacups having a spaday in the sink
Going to strip the beds ready for WM, then heading on a bin bag dance, then brew and catch up with Fred.
hugs sticks and spoons to all xx
The cold never bothered me anyway10
