Glad you are home and safe Toni'sfriend. Bless your Boy.Today I am grateful for good strong coffee, for my kettlebell enabling me to do a workout, for my laptop meaning I can work and keep in touch, for the majority of my pupils doing the work I set and finding a way to send it to me when my suggested way failed 100% - oops, for good books on the go, for drying my washing on the climbing frame.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!8

Evening all.
11/15 NSDs
Walked for 0.88 miles
I’m thinking of starting a personal diary to try and process my thoughts and feelings. Abit of therapy perhaps. I’m trying to stay positive, my boss has organised it so I can work from home but school keep sending activities for my DS to do but he needs some help. Grateful but feel can’t do any 100%. like everyone I’m trying to adapt but it all changes too quickly and I feel like I can’t keep up. Been for a walk and felt really sad so trying to turn those feelings around-
The village is eerily quiet- that’s good right? People are staying home.
An empty bus went passed - So the driver is safe.
I walked passed my parents house and couldn’t go in - But their light was on and I know they are sitting warm & cosy and watching rubbish on tv.
I’m not sleeping which isn’t helping. Although DH cut the grass today which makes the garden a nice pace to enjoy a cup of tea at least so will take regular breaks tomorrow.
Keep safe, sorry to harp on. Looking forward to April challenges thanks apple muncher xLightbulb moment - 17/08/2017 £17,033. Current CC debt £0.00 DFD 31/7/24 🥳. Member #8 of Fiver Friday Challenge £175/£2606 -
Spent most of the afternoon failing to get a home delivery from the SMs. I have food now but want to order food for in 3 or 4 weeks time. Websites crashed, not taking new customers, 'prioritising the vulnerable' but all slots gone for the next 3 weeks and they won't let you order further ahead than that. The girls have offered to bring things we need but I don't want to land them with a long list - was trying to do click and collect so they could just pick it up. Will spend some time tomorrow checking my stocks and jotting down ideas for using them - bag of mushrooms and a couple of slices of meat will go much further as quiches. However DS3 collected my pills from the pharmacy and delivered them - he hung the bag from one of the gate spikes then backed off so I could scoop them off with my receiving bucket. Mum's pills also came (asked delivery lady to drop them in the bucket and we both had our little plastic gloves on). I have apple trees and have reordered the veg plants as that order hadn't gone through properly.Still very tired. Mum keeps saying I can't still be tired but I sigh with pleasure when I play the shower head over my back and shoulders.Today I am grateful for sunshine, apple trees, barm cakes and a friendly text from a neighbour. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage8

Tuesday- am now "furloughed" from work, no way to wfh in the job I do, the business is critical but with skeleton staff just now, so I volunteered to be one of the temporarily cut staff. Just hope there is a business at the end of this and we can go back to normal. As no-one seems to really know how the payment will work, I've got my fingers crossed I do actually get paid (at 80%). If not I have enough savings to get through a couple of months. Expenditure should be less- no clubs for DD, no days out (not that we have many spendy days out anyway), but I seem to be supporting an online retailer rather too well over the last few days- have been ordering lots of books, craft things and bits that I think will help educate/occupy DD for the next few weeks/months. There are so many online options of things to do- PE, dance, science,history- could fill the day watching you tube if you wanted to! But I am trying to keep screen time to a minimum and for education only during the day (DD is trying hard to get me to "relax" my screen time rules). So am on NSD 11/15 and hopeful I can increase it over the next few days. I'm going to try and use some of my enforced time at home to do some sorting/tidying/decluttering, if I aim for 1 shelf/drawer/section of a room a day then I should get through the house eventually. My only concern is that if my decluttering is successful I will end up with piles of stuff to pass on or donate and won't be able to get it shifted- will need to start and can worry about it if the donate pile gets out of control! This is a very minor detail, and even as I type it, I am very aware under current circumstances if that is my "biggest" worry in 3 months time I will have escaped lightly.
Stay safe everyone, stay home if you can.8 -
In good news, and to show how wonderful people are in this crazy new reality we are facing.....Foodbank donations are UP in my f/bFinancial donations to the Foodbank are UP too!It seems the govt idea of providing food to the elderly/vulnerable/disabled/ ill on lockdown for 12 weeks (free to begin with but there will be a cost later) is between the govt and the supermarkets direct. They do not seem to be consulting the foodbanks or Fareshare or the other charities currently providing help to the food-poor. But don't worry. if you need the foodbanks. We are still there.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

They will be known as the Warriors of the Rainbow.Native american ProphecyLove that.I hope that people are now thinking about what they actually need rather than all the wants they have, thinking about the things which are important to them and also about who they spend their money with. Do you want to give your hard earned money to companies that destroy the planet, ride roughshod over people and animals and are just blatantly greedy? Do you want to buy nonsense rubbish from countries that bring the whole world to a standstill? I know that most of you know I am passionate about looking after the planet and supporting local business and the high street but shouldn't we all be doing that in the future - for the future? As you know I am very active so I was stressing about the whole staying at home thing weeks before we got to Monday but I gave lots of thought to what I actually could do and stopped being silly about it. Yesterday I went cycling in the morning, I bumped into a friend walking her dog and we chatted for a bit but we were well over the 2m distance, I stayed away from the cycle path we have nearby partly because I prefer the roads and partly because I knew it would be busy, it was near one of the entrances to it that I stopped to chat to my friend and just during that time we saw 4 cyclists, 2 horse riders, 4 walkers and one wheelchair go onto it.I sent the kids out together in the afternoon to walk the dog, then later in the evening DH walked the dog. He said there were a few people about but people crossed over or stood well back to let people pass, he did see an old lady that we see quite regularly, she is probably 90 ish and lives alone, she potters up and down the little back lane where she lives and she likes to chat with people and especially people with dogs, he said he felt dreadful just steaming past just saying hello.

Good morning!!!
Sorry for my absence the last few days... been a weird space adjusting to everything that is happening... My main concerns like many, are not for myself so much - as for my elderly parents. We are having a meeting today as a family to discuss whether or not we all keep seeing them (they are vulnerable) or whether we limit it to one child. It's tough - as without our input they won't cope and likely end up hospitalised.
In myself life is pretty much the same. Still working. I love time alone and am pretty solitary anyway, so the lockdown just feels like a normal day for me. I think it's people with kids that will feel it the most!!!
I lost track of where I am up to with NSD's but add another 3 on please haha!!! Budget wise I am doing fine, and got food in etc.
Sending you all lots of love. I am going to get some exercise in today and just have a chilled day off. x⭐ DEBT FREE : 18/02/2025 ⭐

abundant - it is difficult to find the right balance in that situation, just one child to go and visit to limit their exposure seems sensible.I haven't left our property as yet, I have scrubbed a lot of things, read, done some Sudoko, baked biscuits, fed everyone and generally pottered about. I am going for a run after tea with DH.My polytunnel thingy arrived, I need some manure now.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Today I am grateful for internet access, for sunshine, for baked potato and chili for tea, for drying the washing on the climbing frame, for being able to help dd with her maths, for scrabble, for clean water, for utube.
