Massive congratulations abundant.Ponypal, welcome back to stress central, we'll do our best to help (trying not to grind my teeth as have received another two repeat letters from the WTC people - you informed us of a recent change and are not entitled to benefit, yadda yadda, plus they want money back from the year dot, plus they think one day is a year and they are still 'waiting for more information from me'). Spent the morning clearing my room (just got to get the stuff down the far side of the bed). Clothes are away, floor is clear (because it's mostly on the bed) and going to work my way through slowly and calmly. Then try to write a reply to all the letters and stating my position (if I can untangle the utter mess they have made).I am not stockpiling but I have a stockpile. This is just because in winter mum and I tend to pick up any germs doing the rounds and it then takes months to get rid of them. Sometimes it's a minor inconvenience, sometimes it floors me and it's good to know that on days I struggle to get tto the bathroom or down the stairs there are tins of soup or rice pudding. Visiting the district nurses twice a week to have mum's dressings changed has left us both exhausted and not knowing what day of the week it is,so not having to worry about shopping is a comfort. The danger of snow is not yet passed (easter has the bank holidays that are most likely to be snowy).I'm not stressing about corona virus either (sorry for those of you with young ones - does it make a change from nits). We will either get it or not and survive or not. I had pneumonia at 18 months old (1959 - one of the hottest summers on record, noted particularly for the length of time it lasted) and mum nearly died of whooping cough when she was a child (grandma sent her off to stay with her aunts and cousin in Blackpool, thinking she would never see her alive again and barely recognised her when she saw her again - sunshine and donkeys, that's what we need - oh wait there's the cabinet). DS3 and Beloved are fairly sanguine, being permanently self isolating so unless it comes with the pizza delivery.Today I am grateful for my room actually being fairly well organised (think it's just lack of time to do anything so have washed clothes and brought them back but not been able to put them away, can already see three cubby holes worth of stuff (sewing notions, felt, stationery) that can be condensed into less than two. I am writing a list of things to be tackled (printer needs mending/ refilling -has ink tanks that can be refilled individually and the library is having new computers installed so can't print things out there). Lots of non-urgent things but some are becoming so. Grateful for sunshine and a mild day, yesterday was sunny but the wind was fierce and nearly blew me away. Grateful for the new community shop (took DS3 to join and bought myself some roses for a pound - saw them on Wednesday and thought how lovely but didn't buy) and charity shops (been in a nearby one that opened recently and I haven't been in before - it goes on forever). Should have known really as it's based in a slice of the old Wallpaper supplies and that was a rabbit warren of 'rooms'.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage10

Was going to go out at lunchtime for work as we are nearly out of handwash, but will look over the weekend if no joy got spare one at home. Just read all the comments on queues and no milk left in some shops now so decided I will save my energy for the germ laiden gym after work instead. My youngest daughter is 30 tomorrow, that makes me feel old. Sad I can't celebrate with her NZ looks so beautiful.NSD 5/20 probably need to reduce my target to 15, will see how it goes.Grateful forWork going to not allow fellow worker back from Italy on Monday in the office, I was bit concerned but tradesmen on site have complained so much as they lose so much money if they can't work, being self employed.Having gone food shopping yesterday, fruit and veg in.The different a new duvet cover made to my spare bedroom, proper little girls room now.Debts going downLBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/229

Have been to a couple of shops today and haven't seen any queues or panic buying, I did notice earlier in the week that Tesco had bare shelves where the pasta was. Our neighbours are isolating themselves, well one of them is on advice from her doctor but her husband will be going out - not sure how that will be helping. Had a funny conversation with our farmer neighbours, needless to say a Yorkshire farmer will be getting on with business as usual. I am glad I have loo rolls to last me until the end of summer probably (not planned) and glad I have a milkman.Bought a new shower curtain in a charity shop today, it is new obviously but I do try not to create a new demand for things. We are having our bathroom re done this year and I am hoping this will be the last curtain I need. Also got two very lovely handmade Harris Tweed cushion covers complete with inners..Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

R&R - nope not at the moment

Today I am grateful for the hopper fare that let me do 3 bus journeys for 1 fare, for cheerful customers in aldee, for people not raiding the gf section of sainz cos the normal food is sold out(!), for sunshine and feeling the warmth of it, for the library, for my sch open morning tomorrow being cancelled (dedicated professional that I am!!), for dd talking to me about things, for chicken and chips for tea (it smells delish).

Evening all, I did a shop in the c00p yesterday, they had all items except hand gel & were limiting loo roll purchases! I bought a 4 pack & a loaf of bread for the freezer. I havent stockpiled as dont want to join the panickers but I dont usually have much in my freezer (except ice cream!) so thought it'd be sensible to have some bread in there plus put HM soup from last weekend. I use the milkman too so hoping that continues as normal.
Today I've been at my self employment role then picked up DD2 from uni as term has finished. It's her birthday next week but her plans are being curtailed by that virus.
I achieved a NSD today taking me to 4.

Day 14I promised you fun, it hasn't felt like fun for the last few days (I have puddles in my kitchen, the sink pipe has a hole in the back and the washer is not spinning properly)Have fun. Today I am grateful for the sunshine, for waking up with the sun, for having the idea to run my Brownies as a lone pack, for helpful fellow leaders at a district meeting, for the health of my family, for the sudden enforced slowing down, for not having booked any of the flights/travel/accomodation that I would have needed if the four events I had planned in the coming weeks were still happening.NST January Turtles number 259
