Usually updates overnight in my experience. There's something on Nationwide's end that means new accounts aren't immediately recognised by other banks.flaneurs_lobster said:
From the email received after opening the account this morningFrogletina said:
I then tried to make a payment into it from my Santander account but it said the account number was not recognised.Just so you know, if you’re paying in using another building society or bank, it may take up to 24 hours before they can find your new account details to make the payment.

Yes thanks I know. I have been a NW current account holder for 20+ years.OneUser1 said:
I’m probably telling you something you already know but you need a Nationwide Current Account to open it. Not just an existing Nationwide Savings Account.SonOfPearl said:I'm an existing NW member and have tried to open the new regular saver four times without success this morning. They are clearly having some problems, perhaps due to the number of applicants, or maybe some other IT issue. I think I'll wait until later today to see if the account appears on my internet banking and if not I'll try again.0 -
Re New Nationwide RS ..... question for those who applied/viewed online .... roughly how long did it take from seeing the "Can't process application ...." message, to seeing the account appear online? TIA
p.s. ... and did you ever receive an email regarding the application?Compiler of the RS League Table.

Were you able to get past the income and employment section into the nominated bank account for withdrawals section please? Or did it fail before it reached that page?Miser1964 said:

I applied (not via App) at 9.00am. Screen said "Can't process application etc...." Never received an email & not showing in my accounts online. So just reapplied and account opened no problem.Miser1964 said:
