Yes, apologies. I was thinking of the Home Starter Regular Saver 2 which had a £500 per month limit.ForumUser7 said:
The one maturing July 2024 and the one maturing September 2024 both have £250 deposit per month as far as I can tell.chris_the_bee said:
That's because this one is £250 per month max & previous was £500, i.e X 13 monthsForumUser7 said:Worth noting this current Beehive issue has £3250 max balance but the last one had £3500 max balance.
£500 x 13 would be £6500 anyway1 -

I got the same yesterday when I applied. I have had multiple accounts with YBS for over 30 years. Could this be another Newcastle BS type !!!!!!-up???kar999 said:I've got a number of accounts with YBS but just got this email after RS application... not sure why. .
"We need to carry out some further checks."Hi Mr *****
We wanted to let you know that your account is open, but before you can begin using it we just need to carry out a few further checks. Don't worry - this should only take a couple of days for us to complete.
What happens next?
Once these checks have been completed we'll write to you and let you know when your account is ready to use. You'll then be able to make deposits to your account by bank transfer.
For security reasons, we'll send you your customer number by post. You will need this to be able to log in, manage your account online and make further deposits by debit card.0 -
Just a reminder that Chorley BS have increased some of their savings rates today, among them their Regular Saver (all issues) and the NLA Seasonal Saver (all issues) have risen from 5% to 5.15%.0

My £1 is showing in my account this morning. Will drop into a local branch with my ID later today.Southcoast01 said:
I also have 3 ybs accounts but have been asked to provide id, although the regular saver is showing as open on the app. Have sent a £1 to see what happens.Rawrzy said:where_are_we said:Manged to open YBS Loyalty ReS @7%. Got account number ok. However it`s a pain that they insist on posting 3 ID documents (one name and two address) despite the fact that I have 8 different accounts with them! I cannot make a deposit until these are ratified.
Crazy they still do that even when you already have accounts. I had that happen when trying to open an account as a new customer. I'd both heard and read on their website they used that hooyu system but apparently not because it didn't even try to use it for me, just instantly said it couldn't electronically verify and wanted proof either via post or via a branch. Only upside was they don't seem to require certified copies.0 -
Went to the Blackpool branch yesterday, who gave me an application pack. If I get to Oct 5th (1yr anniversary of oldest account) and the account has disappeared, I will fill out the paper form in hope.0

I cant see this in the list on the front page (apologies if it is) but YBS have a new members saver.
7%/£500 for 12 months: https://www.ybs.co.uk/savings/product?id=YB901755W0 -
This account has been discussed in a few recent posts here. The eligibility requirement is to have held an existing YBS account for at least a year. Some appear to have managed to circumvent it, but try as I might all I get is a message saying:KTF said:I cant see this in the list on the front page (apologies if it is) but YBS have a new members saver.

You haven’t had another account with us for long enough to open this loyalty account. You can still apply for other savings accounts.
I will try again at the end of this month, at which point I shall officially become 'loyal', should the account still be available.0 -

Have you made a deposit into it yet? When logged into online banking I've found all of my YBS EA accounts have the debit card option but all of my regular savers do not. Since I've fully funded each of my regular savers this month I imagine it's because their systems recognise when you've made the maximum monthly deposit into the account so therefore remove the debit card deposit option since you can't possibly add further funds at that point. I think it should reappear on 1st October though.Growingold said:No D/C option to pay in on my new YBS Loyalty saver unlike my other accounts.I think you are probably correct. But as an aside, since YBS don't clear and pay interest on debit card deposits for two to three working days it isn't good MSE practice to make debit card deposits directly into the regular saver accounts anyway.Making the debit card deposits into the highest interest EA account a few days before the end of one month allows the deposit to be transferred internally to the RS account on the first of the following month and start earning the RS rate those few days earlier.4
