New TIPTON RS opened yesterday. Does your deposit from yesterday show in the account yet? Mine doesn't.

Mine doesn't either. I've found they're not the quickest when it comes to showing new deposits in the app though but it should all get backdated to yesterday when it does arrive so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

The application stated that deposits would NOT show online for 48 hours, however mine is now showing.
Mine showed at some point between 1 and 3pm.  I only deposited the minimum £25 just to make sure I did the digits right, I will deposit the rest tomorrow morning as I don't know what the cut off time for Tipton is.

If you already have the previous one YBS Loyalty Regular eSaver paying 5%. Could you still open the new one paying 7%? If not is it possible to close it and open a new one ??

Yes you can open it and have both.
  • From memory, I looked at the website page on Regular savers, and clicked apply, it then asked me to log in and I completed the application. One strange part was after I clicked I was retired, for the next entry I clicked on "Occupation" and I was unable to get the dropped down list come up which is understandable! The next box I also could not fill in (Can`t remember what it was) so I scrolled to the bottom of the page and clicked continue and completed the application.
The last of these questions was how much do you anticipate holding in the RS account. I also selected retired and next question for occupation was greyed out leading to question about how much you will save. I put option that covered £6000 (think option was £5 k to £10k but could be wrong). Account opened fine and funded so unlikely this a problem depending on how much you indicated you planned to save.

As I posted above, the greyed out question after 'Occupation' was "What's your annual income before tax?"  This was on step 1 (Personal Details).  "How much are you expecting to deposit..." didn't come until step 4 (Funds).

...Although it is possible some people are getting a completely different application process compared to others.

Worth noting this current Beehive issue has £3250 max balance but the last one had £3500 max balance.
    That's because this one is £250 per month max & previous was £500, i.e X 13 months
The one maturing July 2024 and the one maturing September 2024 both have £250 deposit per month as far as I can tell.
    £500 x 13 would be £6500 anyway

The first permits 14 payments, the second 13 payments, both are £250pm.
  • Manged to open YBS Loyalty ReS @7%. Got account number ok. However it`s a pain that they insist on posting 3 ID documents (one name and two address) despite the fact that I have 8 different accounts with them! I cannot make a deposit until these are ratified.

Happened to me too, and the last time when I opened the loyalty cash isa (but not for some of the other products).

I took in my passport to a branch, which they didn't even make a copy of or ask for thee other two forms of id. Bit of a pain.

I had my regular monthly SO from Santander to Coventry BS paid unexpectedly today, Sunday 17th. It was also credited at CBS today.

Whilst the date of the SO is correct, something v. strange is going on, as normally Santander do not process SOs at weekends. I don't know whether this was a freak one-off or whether they are now processing SOs on non-banking days.
I've noticed this recently, too. Also, NatWest — who have always honoured Direct Debits regardless of whether or not I have funds to cover them (I usually credit the account to cover them when I get the alert (same day) that I set up) — have started to not cover the DDs and then charge me for a 'return unpaid' payment.
Are you sure you definitely covered the amount by the correct time? Never had that problem with NW but did have it with Virgin Money and a standing order (which I don’t remember receiving a notification for but can’t go back and check!)
I didn't get the chance this last time; they refused it (returned unpaid?). Usually, as the dates vary, I wait until I get the alert from NW telling me I've gone overdrawn (usually received by 8am or so), and I pop in funds to cover that and put me back into credit. This time, they just didn't bother honouring the direct debit, and so I didn't know about it until I was notified later by the receiving end that the DD did not go through.

Right now I have three RS accounts with YBS. One Christmas RS paying 5.75%, the earlier Loyalty RS e-saver paying 6.25% (due to mature next month) and now the new Loyalty RS e-saver paying 7%.
