Argh, how frustrating - my oldest YBS account was opened on October 5th 2022. I wonder if branches might be a bit more lenient?
Any chance it will still be available come Oct 5th?
Request the post / branch application pack buying you a bit time, will be next week before it arrives…. This might help, might mean it delays opening if arriving on 5th…..

My oldest YBS account is 26th September......I might be lucky......it's a week today but I suspect it'll be pulled before then.
Request pack via post 3-5 days to arrive….

Request the branch based online ten mins or so ago phone call and they’ve emailed me it.

Can you have both online and branch / post ? I know you could with Loyalty ISA, and have had a quick view of the t&c’s and can’t see why not.

    • You can only hold one Loyalty Regular Saver 2023 or Loyalty Regular eSaver 2023 account in your name. For joint accounts you can only be the Main Holder on one account but can be Other Holder on the second account. If you are acting as a trustee, or an attorney, the beneficiary or donor must meet the eligibility criteria and can only hold one Loyalty Regular Saver 2023 account.

You can't have both the online and branch/post version.

For those applying by post if you want to save yourself some time the application form can be found using the link below:
    https://www.ybs.co.uk/documents/productdata/Application-YB571754B.pdf

Also of note is that as with the YBS product sheets, I've discovered postal application forms seem to remain on their website long after the product is withdrawn from sale so it may be worth saving this link if you are very close to being eligible for this regular saver.

To me it reads as if you can have one or the other.

It clearly states only 1 of either version can be held and if error happens and you're found to be named on 2 then the most recently opened will be converted into an easy access account.

  • Manged to open YBS Loyalty ReS @7%. Got account number ok. However it`s a pain that they insist on posting 3 ID documents (one name and two address) despite the fact that I have 8 different accounts with them! I cannot make a deposit until these are ratified.

    Usual problems with YBS.

It also looks like they have resurrected the new website layout again (the one which didn't work last time).

I've tried applying twice, I get to the "Open account" button on the "Review & Confirm" page, at which point the site dumps me out to the main login screen.

If that's what it is caused by, going back to the 'new' website just before launching a likely very popular account won't have been the best business decision YBS have made lately.

I found that despite being shown the login screen again when I scrolled down the option to apply was there. Deceptive!
