Summary details says "For opening deposits made by electronic payments, you must send your initial deposit within 14 days, or the account will be automatically closed." In cases like this, I normally write on the application form that electronic payment of opening deposit will be made on receipt of Account Number.

Two weeks have passed since I registered for MBS's 'My Accounts', but still no activation code by mail.
I phoned them today, and after being on hold for 5-10 mins, a nice, helpful guy answered, and having confirmed my identity, gave me a user ID and asked me to log in. It worked, and one of the two RSs was there - when I asked if I had to manually add the Exclusive RS, he said he would do it for me, and it should be there once I logged out and back in; after the call, I simply refreshed the page and the second account was there!
A nuisance to have to wait for their snail mail processes, not to mention not yet receiving the code, but the phone call was much better than hoped, and now all good!6 -

I already have a Tipton account and the App. I applied via the App and not via the post. Not sure what you mean by "postal id reference". There was no request for ID. Got a confirmation text from Tipton. I funded the new account as soon as I had my account number. New account is showing in the App. £250 first deposit not yet showing in the App, but I am not concerned. It will probably show up tomorrow.

Just opened the 6.2% RS with Tipton & Coseley, did it on the App but they're posting me the ID reference. Till then I'm in limbo (I'm a former customer but going back maybe a decade).
Last time I had something similar the lovely postmen went on strike so that was a right pigs ear......0 -
