This hasn't been the case for my First Direct regular saver. It has been over two weeks since the account matured and disappeared, yet I still cannot open a new one. The call centre are useless, and refused to open one over the phone.Fingerbobs said:HSBC Regular Saver rollover: Just to mention, if it hasn't been already - my HSBC and First Direct RS accounts both matured recently, and in both cases I found I was able to apply online for a new RS as soon as the original one disappeared from Internet Banking, which was the day before maturity. The new accounts were up and running and showing in Internet Banking the working day following the original maturity date, so only "drifted" by 1 day. This is an improvement on previous years, and I presume M&S would be the same, but I'm still in my first year with M&S so haven't had a rollover yet.0 -

Mine matured yesterday, I noticed it had disappeared around 1am, I found I was able to apply online for a new RS from Internet Banking

Same for me. I expect the new account to show online by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.bristolleedsfan said:glider3560 said:

Chorley Building Society Loyalty Seasonal Savers (Issues 1 and 2) reduce from 2.5% variable to 1.85% variable on 30 June. I have Issue 1 which is due to mature on 31 October. Good for Chorley holding off the reduction for longer than others, and also for not reducing the rate on the Members RS due to mature on 30th June. I do like Chorley BS!3

I'm resigned to expecting a similar announcement for the swathe of Notts BS I hold.
Again a terrific organisation.0 -
How did you learn about that pse? I've had nothing.Deleted_User said:Chorley Building Society Loyalty Seasonal Savers (Issues 1 and 2) reduce from 2.5% variable to 1.85% variable on 30 June. How do you define the day of maturity? My regular saver at First Direct was opened on 11th June 2019 and the standing order from my First Direct current account paid in on the 11th of every month. I had my letter from First Direct saying my regular saver would mature on the 10th June and funds would be available in my EverydaySaver account on the 11th.Fingerbobs said:HSBC Regular Saver rollover: Just to mention, if it hasn't been already - my HSBC and First Direct RS accounts both matured recently, and in both cases I found I was able to apply online for a new RS as soon as the original one disappeared from Internet Banking, which was the day before maturity. When I checked my First Direct account on the 10th, it had indeed disappeared but I didn't check if I could open a new regular saver - based on previous years' experience, I'd assumed I couldn't.
On the following day, the 11th, the funds were in the EverdaySaver account and I transferred them out. I immediately applied for a new regular saver and left £300 in my First Direct current account.
The following day, the 12th, the regular saver had been set-up & funds transferred-in dated the 11th, and a new standing order had been set-up for the 11th of every month. In practice, that means that, unlike all previous years for all my HSBC-based regular savers, there has NOT been the day (or more) drift in the funding date!

I was too quick off the mark, my letter also came today, just. As others do I feel a bit protective about Chorley (and Nottingham) and I wish they had saved money, with postage being so expensive, by advising us of this by e-mail.Archi_Bald said:
