Thanks @Bridlington1 for the heads-up re. Skipton - seems my 1.1% below BR tracker, until now uncompetitive and languishing with just a £1 test payment in it, has proved worthwhile after all!

Does Saffron BS have a history of loyalty offers?
Worth opening a Saffron E-Saver, with the £10 min., in the hope of future loyalty offers, I wonder?1 -
I'd say it's certainly worth opening it. They usually do a fairly competitive members regular saver anyway and they've now demonstrated they can do something pretty spectacular every now and then.SJMALBA said:Does Saffron BS have a history of loyalty offers?

you could open a "My Saver" account, that pays the same 3.45%, but you only need £1 to open it - I did that in February, so i'm not eligible for the 9% RS account (but for only £29 interest, i'm not overly bothered).SJMALBA said:Does Saffron BS have a history of loyalty offers?

Looks like no point for me to apply as I already have Christmas, which is better than this one.Bridlington1 said:YBS are launching a regular saver at 4.5%.- You can only hold one Regular eSaver or Regular Saver account in your name.
- If you are named as Main Holder on more than one Regular eSaver account, the most recent account opened will be transferred to the Internet Saver Plus Issue 13.

The Christmas Regular eSaver is a Christmas Regular eSaver, not a Regular eSaver (IMO) so I applied for the new one and will keep the old one. Didn't cross my mind, hopefully I didn't misinterpret the termsallegro120 said:

I interpreted it the same way, I considered them to be 2 separate items so you can have one regular saver and one Christmas regular saver.ForumUser7 said:

I've funded both for this month now anyway so I'll see what happens.3 -
I couldn't remember my Saffron user ID, so phoned up
It will be posted to me, and I said I hope that new monthly savings account doesn't close before the post gets here
In that case I can help you, she said. The application can be done online without being logged in, and give an existing account number in the relevant box when you tick to say existing member.1 -
I've been a member for many years, but had a short membership gap between 06/10/22 and 21/11/22. I've called them just to double check if I'm eligible - the answer is "no".t1redmonkey said:Seems like you can at least begin the application process even if you don't meet the Saffron BS criteria (e.g. you opened your first account with them more recently than June 2022), however from my experience Saffron do seem to have a control in place for catching ineligible account holders and then closing + returning funds a few days later, so most likely wouldn't be worth trying.0
