I certainly hope not, I only upgraded to their 12 month members regular saver last month. Either way I think this is the first savings account in well over a year that pays a higher rate of interest than the rate of inflation.10_66 said:

I've just spoken to Skipton. The 7.5% regular saver will be launched at 9am and from that point onwards you can open the account in branch or over the phone without needing to book an appointment. They said they won't have any other details about it until 9am.3
