Quick question. I have a Santander RS fully paid up but does not mature until 6 April. Is there a drawback, other than a few days loss of interest, to withdrawing my funds before the 6th, to transfer them to a new Santander ISA  at a higher rate of interest, to beat the ISA end of year deadline?

No drawback. There is no penalty on withdrawal or closure. Also, if you have the new Santander ISA already open ready for first deposit, there will be no loss of interest in your total returns but in fact a slight gain in total interest.

Just thought I'd mention that Saffron BS do seem to be enforcing the rules on their regular savers; I tried opening the 4.35% one with them after already having a Small Saver.  It took them a while to open it, about a week, but they did open it so I thought I had the green light.  Then a day after funding it, they closed it and returned the funds to me.  Oh well  :)  I thought my situation was a bit odd as they obviously were manually reviewing it before opening it (since it took them a week after my original app to do so) and they still opened it, yet ended up closing it soon after!

Club Lloyds monthly saver just increased to 6.25% AER, and Halifax to 5.50% AER

    Edit:
OK, seems like that was a couple days ago, but I didn't see it. :( Also interesting they do that before the BoE new rate announcement.

Was it Halifax you were looking at? Halifax didn't up their rate till around a week or 2 after Lloyds and BOS.
