Possibly Skipton too - they had an existing member RS in 2021 I think - but you only had to be a member since a week or so before it was releasedBand7 said:
Cambridge BS, YBS, Coventry BS, Monmouthshire BS, Principality BS - - more or less every BS. Also local ones with Post Code restrictions, should you be lucky enough to live in their areas.BestSeagull said:Speaking of Saffron, I've recently opened an easy access account with them so that in a year I'll be eligible for the regular saver.
Can anyone think of any other places I should be opening an account now, to be eligible for similar perks in the future? Thanks!
According to their website:
“From 30th March 2023 we will only be accepting new savings applications from people who live in the following postcodes: AL, BA, BH, BN, BS, DT, EX, GL, GU, HA, HP, HR, KT, LU, MK, NN, OX, PO, RG, RH, SG, SL, SM, SN, SP, SO, TA, TW, UB, WD, WR. I had few accounts with my Royston Vasey BS for a few years in a row, but they failed to offer anything good since I closed my last one in Feb 2021OceanSound said:
😂 It's a local BS for local people.Yorkshire_Pud said:

Anyone who's seen the league of gentlemen would be aware of this. 😆

The Newbury Welcome to Newbury account @ 3.3% may be better rather than 3.15%.Bridlington1 said:

I've already got that one. I'm just securing the account now in case the rate rises after the postcode restrictions come into force.chris_the_bee said:

Absolutely! Get your foot in as soon as the door opens and keep it there - proved to be a good strategy. At present 3.3% is a good rate. If it falls far behind the leading IA I will withdraw £2950 and will keep £50 on the account.

Natwest is increasing the rate on the digital regular saver for balances above £5,000 effective 21st March to 1%. I couldn’t see anything about this on the RBS website, but if they don’t change anything, it’s not like we are missing much anyway

Does the Saffron regular saver account have to be funded only from the nominated bank account or can it be funded from any account including one belonging to spouse?

Not sure about it being in a different name, but I’ve consistently funded all my saffron accounts from an account in my own name that is not the nominated account.aaj123 said:Does the Saffron regular saver account have to be funded only from the nominated bank account or can it be funded from any account including one belonging to spouse?
N.B. Most providers will tell you if you can only fund the account from the nominated account. I think Mansfield and West Brom both fall under this categoryIf you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

For about 3 years I have also funded my Saffron account from an account in my own name that is not my nominated account.ForumUser7 said:
