Do you have a BoS current account? If not you'll be unable to apply for the monthly saver.AndyTh_2 said:I can't even apply as a new user to BoS for it's monthly saver with the same 'there is a problem..' error, nor login to BoS. I used to have some of their vantage current accounts, but they also displayed them on Halifax login back then

Then why as per link I posted does BoS allow monthly saver to be opened by non customers ?kaMelo said:It is a condition of BoS that to open a monthly saver you must hold a current account with BoS also.Because the programmer who wrote the script is useless? As we know many things which aren't allowed by a banks terms and conditions go unnoticed/overlooked/ignored when a customer breaches them. For a full picture it's important that people know the full terms and decide for themselves whether to chance their luck by breaching them.

I think their systems can’t distinguish between a BOS account and Halifax as they run on the same underlying systems. I can log into the BOS website with my Halifax login and apply for any BOS product. It doesn’t work on Lloyds.kaMelo said:bristolleedsfan said:

As a non BoS customer, I tried applying for a regular saver but got an error message at the end of the online form. Also can't login using my Halifax details. Sad times.1

Further to my earlier post on the 10th October. My Cambridge BS Extra Reward Regular Saver, paying 5.00% matured today.Kazza242 said:I've just called and spoken to The Cambridge. They said that because they are allowing members with maturing Extra Reward Regular Savers to invest in another Extra Reward Regular Saver at 5.00%, this is a special offer which does not feature amongst their online maturity options page.
What you need to do if you want the 5.00% offer is call The Cambridge before your account is due to mature (i.e. now) and they will apply your maturity options over the phone.
On the date that your Extra Reward Regular Saver matures, they will transfer the balance and interest to your nominated account, excluding £250 which will be left in your account.
The account will be a new 5.00% Extra Reward Regular Saver with the same account number (so you only need to extend your SO for another 11 payments/create a new one if you've already deleted it).
They have taken my maturity instructions over the phone and will carry them out on the morning that my account is due to mature. They have confirmed that I will be getting the 5.00% Extra Reward Regular Saver for another year.
I can confirm that The Cambridge has allowed me to have a new Extra Reward Regular Saver, paying 5.00% for another year.
They have left £250 of my maturing balance remaining in the account (which will cover my October payment) and transferred the rest out to my nominated current account.
The account number remains the same and the next SO payment will go in on 1st November.
Great service from The Cambridge!

Have you tried registering for a BoS login but using your Halifax bank details when it asks for bank account details. No idea if that would work but might be worth a try. I can't test that out as I found I was still able to use my old BoS login from way back when I had BoS accounts (all closed several years ago) and when I did it showed me my Halifax accounts and also allowed me to open the BoS RS account and fund it from my Halifax accounts. The RS now also shows on my Halifax login as well.TheStoozeFather said:As a non BoS customer, I tried applying for a regular saver but got an error message at the end of the online form.
