  • Might not make the list but Virgin M saver is up 2% (2.02 AER) from 03/10, balances upto £25k but needs the current account which is paying the same rate on upto £1k.

This account is not a regular saver.  It has already been posted on the easy access thread

Moving Forwards has pointed out that the Virgin M Saver is up from 1.70% to 2.00% (interest paid quarterly) from 03/10 on balances up to £25k, and the interest rate on balances above £25k has also gone up from 1.00% to 1.50%. The M Plus current account on up to £1k also pays 2.00% (2.02% AER) (and has done so since mid 2020) but pays interest monthly rather than quarterly.

Santander new RS16 @ 2.75%. Why is there a difference in updating from old RS15 to new RS16 when using the App and when doing it online? We have a joint account, one of us uses the Santander App and the other uses online. Using the App and going to "chat" etc the old RS15 was closed and money transferred to current account all on Monday. Then, after the stipulated 2 working days a new RS16 was opened today, funded with £200 and SO for 11 £200 payments set up ,starting in just over a months time. All done and dusted. However, OH, using the online process has heard nothing since Monday. Are there any forumites, using the online process and going to "chat" still waiting?

Both OH and me use PC.  Both of us asked for closure via chat, and because we couldn't wait for hours for reply, the chat kept being closed.  We both repeated the process a couple of times, OH's was closed, mine wasn't and I had to ring to do it.  Both of us had to open the new version ourselves, as we were advised they can't upgrade (despite the fact that's the phrase they use on the chat options).

Dudley BS raising rates WEF 6th October. They seem to have a myriad of RS in their increases chart, so you need to check. Their website isn't much help, as it seems to offer two RS at 1.45% which would rise to 2.2%. Looks like mine increases from 1.65% to 2.4%.
