Yes and no, depends on if you're opening at a Branch (yes) or agency (probably not).afis1904 said:It doesn't say you can't so I assume you can but is it possible to just open the YBS account with cash?
I was taken into a little room to open the account, which was opened with a zero balance. I then had to go back out into the branch and queue up at the counter with my new passbook to deposit the cash.

Earl Shilton Regular Monthly Saver interest rate is reducing from 2.00% to 1.85% on 1 April 2020 (source: ESBS website).2

Principality Regular Saver Bond Issue 20 has been replaced by Issue 21. The interest rate is still fixed at 2.00% but the maximum monthly deposit is reduced to £250 and, although monthly payments can still be skipped, no withdrawals are allowed until the end of the 12 month term - money is only otherwise accessible by early closure.4
