I believe Gers is referring to "existing Society members". The wording is slightly ambiguous, but you are able to open up to 3 "Special Occasions" RS (SORS) and not live in one of those postcodes. First, you become a member by saving £100 in an "eligible to all" savings account eg the "Hi Five Saver" account (open by post, ID required). Then you apply for SORS by post. You can download account opening forms. Then you can set up SO`s to fund the SORS. Being able to open 3 SORS, make up to 4 withdrawals a year and the fact that this is not a term account and you are able to continue to save after 12 months persuaded me it was worth the hassle of doing all the above!Yes, the previous wording was that only people living in the listed postcodes could open a RS - when it changed to 'existing members' I don't know. The processes to open an account are rather old-fashioned. Paper documents (five pages) and online access codes sent by post. Even when one account is held the same paper documents (five pages) need to be sent each time an additional account can be opened. Not onerous and friendly staff. A passbook came with the RS which suggests that it will have to be returned when closing the account.I think you will find any changes to the T&C’s happened a long time ago.
I did what Where_are_we suggested back in November 2021, I was not a member or a local.
After opening a High five saver with £100 I then opened 3 Special Occasions accounts, these have been running now for 9 or 10 months. And the interest rate increased to 1.95% about a month ago.

This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."1 -
done mine, however confused by this. Does it mean NO withdrawals, or not?
The Loyalty Regular eSaver account account allows you to withdraw from your account, without losing any interest, on one day per account year based on the anniversary of the account opening date. Withdrawals are instant and if required you can close your account even if you have used your withdrawal day. If required you can close your account even if you have used your withdrawal day.

My understanding of the terms is that you're allowed 1 withdrawal during the fixed term. Account closure doesn't count as a withdrawal so if you've already made a withdrawal, you can still close the account to access your money. Interest is calculated daily, so presumably they would also pay any interest accumulated to date on closure.

£500 per calendar month and maximum £6000. If I pay today and switch to 1st from next month, no payment for last month (07/23)?0
-
Yes, no 13th payment if you already reach the maximum of £6000. Was the same with the previous 3.5% YBS loyalty regular saver.1

Seems I'm not eligible for the YBS Loyalty Regular Saver even though I've continuously had accounts with them since 2020 (different accounts over time)
Are they limiting the 1 year to currently open accounts, rather than continuous membership between accounts overlapping that are now closed?
e.g. 2020 I had an ISA, then months before closing I opened a "Online Rainy Day" savings account to keep membership for loyalties like this, which I closed after opening the Internet Saver issue 10 in 20220
