    Seems I'm not eligible for the YBS Loyalty Regular Saver even though I've continuously had accounts with them since 2020 (different accounts over time)

    Are they limiting the 1 year to currently open accounts, rather than continuous membership between accounts overlapping that are now closed?

    e.g. 2020 I had an ISA, then months before closing I opened a "Online Rainy Day" savings account to keep membership for loyalties like this, which I closed after opening the Internet Saver issue 10 in 2022
    Their programs will probably just look at how long your existing account has been open. I'd call them - a human will be able to see that you have had accounts without interrupt.
    Thanks, and yes I did message them. Their sending me a paper application for it, acknowledging the system only looks at currently open accounts.

    Hopefully that application will go through ok.

    I tried to apply for the new YBS RSA from the YBS app yesterday, and it not come up as an available account.

    But when I followed the link upthread I was able to apply for the account through the website, and open and fund it instantly.

    Remember it's the 20th tomorrow and we all know what happens at 1400 on the 20th of every other month....

    Virgin HBC 12 and hopefully a jump up to 2%
    Me thinks 2% is not enough. I'm using  my HB accounts as easy access from August.  I have little savings earning less than 1.75%
    See also report on BBC that BoE may increase rates by 0.5% in August.
    Just sorted a 5 year mortgage fix for 2.0% so savings going above in the near future would be quite nice. Can't risk opening no-withdrawal accounts right now but I have a few regular savers at 2-3.5% with no penalties to withdraw and the rest in Chase 1.5%.

    I opened a savings account with YBS in May last year, which has had a £10 balance, in the hope of a loyalty offer. I have now opened a regular esaver. Perfect  :)

    Strange reading this as I decided to close my Furness 3 year only a week ago. For me, even at 1.7% I think I would have shut it down, I'm only opening new ones over 2% and then only if I can get access to the money without penalty. When I'm getting over 1.5% on instant access I don't see the point, I've been putting all my spare cash in 90 day accounts @ 1.9% and giving notice as soon as opened. I feel the savings market is far to fluid just now to do much else but that's just my view.

    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    I agree with your sentiments.  I have decided that I will, following the BoE rate change in the first week of August, then rationalise my whole range of savings.
