To be fair, there was never a proper maturity date on the account and it was clear on opening that the bonus would be available on new funds for subsequent years.

That's true, but the bonus is variable, yet has not deviated from 3% throughout  :)

Monmouthshire BS has now pulled its Christmas Saver Bond.
Im debating whether to fund the max or not. As it has no withdrawal until maturity. £1000, 1.1%

Make up to 3 withdrawals during the 12 month account term without impacting your interest rate.
Make 4 or more withdrawals and your rate will drop to 0.35% AER/gross a year (variable) for the rest of the term. We'll apply the lower rate on the day you make your fourth withdrawal.

Thank you! I literally tried to close my dormant NW current account an hour ago, but couldn't as I'd binned my card reader. Then I saw this so worked out ok after all!

It looks as if this has gummed up the works! They are not coping with money in and out and they are queuing people.

I'm having issues trying to set up a standing order to this account.  Transferred money into it from existing flex account, but when trying to set up standing order from an external bank for future payments, the sending bank's telling me the account doesn't exist.  Might be the same gremlins that are causing their other issues today?

See the thread linked below. It appears that Nationwide update the account number database overnight.
