    LEEK
I've followed the same path and pretty much for the same reasons. Should it ever come to it, it's like having a one year bond that you can readily access. It's possible to have several RS accounts at 0.85% to 1.10% which are accessible (withdrawal or closure) if the cash at Marcus etc is ever insufficient - both of Lloyds for instance. For connected reasons that is why I haven't restarted the new Chorley offering.

Incidentally about Leek, I understand from talking to the ever friendly staff that they are planning on going online; they are one of the very few that aren't. No date yet but it could be the new year.

Perfection from Principality. My Christmas Bond matured at midnight Nov 11. At 00.15 this morning the £125 first deposit to start the new one was showing plus the figure of interest on the old. This morning (by 09.30 anyway) the balance of the maturity funds was in the account I asked them to send it to!

    Ditto - very efficient.
  • I’ve always been impressed with the speed of Principality’s pay outs. Even on the weekends the money is in my nominated account just after 9am.

Not according to the T&Cs. You can obviously try to get an application for Issue 2 past the clerk in Branch but I doubt you will succeed.
