    • Customers can only have one Home Buying Coach Regular Saver at any time."
Is that true? I have Iss 2,5.6,7. Can I 'slip in' Iss 8?

That's what the terms say so it must be true, just like whatever is in a newspaper must be true.
Those are the terms - which are clearly stated.

Of course just because a company has allowed you to break their terms doesn't mean they will do so for ever.

So perhaps best not to advertise the fact you have multiple HBC RSs - in case anyone at VM reads this forum!

"Replace" implies the products are equivalent. They are not.

The VM regular savers were not restricted to users of the home buyers coach app and not limited to one issue per person.

    • This account is only available to users of the Virgin Money Home Buying Coach app.
    • Customers can only have one Home Buying Coach Regular Saver at any time.

I cannot fathom why Virgin Money has done this.

Because the home coach regular saver product is a loss leader and an attempt to encourage people to take out a profit making mortgage with VM? You have to download the app and click a few things to get enough points to access the product - but you aren't required to open it daily or weekly or indeed ever again?

    VM aren't a charity.

Fair play to Ipswich for continuing to allow existing Smart Save accounts to be run after their annual maturity, still with the 3% bonus.

Beverley BS continue to cut the rate on their monthly saver account. 0.45% including bonus from January.
I'd been maintaining it with the minimum £10 pm in case they ever offered "loyalty" accounts, but the time to say goodbye has come I think.

Just to avoid any confusion, the Ipswich Building Society has rebranded itself as the Suffolk Building Society.

To be fair, there was never a proper maturity date on the account and it was clear on opening that the bonus would be available on new funds for subsequent years.

Their customer service is also excellent.  They continue to help me manage my accounts and open new issues (albeit by post and phone) even though I no longer live in their area.
