That's what the terms say so it must be true, just like whatever is in a newspaper must be true.
Of course just because a company has allowed you to break their terms doesn't mean they will do so for ever.

Fair play to Ipswich for continuing to allow existing Smart Save accounts to be run after their annual maturity, still with the 3% bonus.
Beverley BS continue to cut the rate on their monthly saver account. 0.45% including bonus from January.
I'd been maintaining it with the minimum £10 pm in case they ever offered "loyalty" accounts, but the time to say goodbye has come I think.0 -

Their customer service is also excellent. They continue to help me manage my accounts and open new issues (albeit by post and phone) even though I no longer live in their area.0
