New Monmouthshire RS - If you are apprehensive about following a link (By the way this is not a condemnation of Every Penny Counts post which is the quickest way!) - go to the www.mons.com website click "savings" - click "personal savings accounts" - click "general savings accounts" - and scroll down and you will find it under "Regular Savings Accounts".After application you do not get an instant account number - they will post account details after verification. Unfortunately this probably means you will not be able to get a first deposit in this month and then a subsequent one on the 1/9/21.0

And you can't apply while logged in to your account seems silly really. If you were logged in they would know your details."Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"1

Yup. I have opened one but I was starting from scratch, as it were.
But.. good to see an RS available for me with a decent-ish rate plus £300 p. m. max subscription. It's been a lean few months on the RS front.

The charitable assignment essentially means you agree that in the event of a demutualisation, your give up your right to that windfall payment and instead agree to transfer any such windfall to the charity contained within the assignment documentation.
They were introduced to prevent "carpet bagging" whereby people would open accounts at numerous institutions with the sole intention of voting to demutualise the institution, if the opportunity arose, and pocket the windfall.3 -
Ah, the good old days. Still got a few left to go (one day maybe!)1
