Does anyone know if I need to keep funding my TSB Plus account with £500 a month now the rate has reduced? (This was/is a feeder account and I've tried looking on TSB but their site is down).0

I've cancelled all my rolling £500 credits and left a £1 in each1

Somewhere among the bumph sent when they stopped paying interest and changed other T&Cs was the info that there is, obviously, no minimum payment required to earn the non-existent interest.liamcov said:Does anyone know if I need to keep funding my TSB Plus account with £500 a month now the rate has reduced? Yes - cancel the in/out £500 Standing Order at both ends. If you have a TSB monthly saver still running remember to fund it. As has already been said leave £1 in it for possible switching offer or current account necessary savings offer further down the line.

Re Tipton BS App Reg Saver (currently not on sale)I made a mistake that I thought would be worth pointing out in case others have done the same. Each month the balance is printed. When I checked in early Dec if my payment had made it to the account I thought it had but in fact I was reading the line with the months starting balance. It appears I never set up the SO, just made the initial deposit by faster payments 🤦♂️. When I checked in Dec I assumed the difference in balance was uncleared funds. If it hadn't been for the interest been paid on the 31st Dec and checking in Jan I might have missed this and left it for the entire year!
(The above only shows two transactions, one on 19th Nov paying in £500 and one on 31st Dec with Tipton Applying interest)1 -
I have KRBS regular saving that will mature at the end of January. Does anyone know the best way to close that accountant and possibly open a new one without the need to visit their branch?
I do not mind if I would not be able to open a new RSA if I could still get the account closed and get it transferred to my link account (or get Cheque).
Thank you for your information.

I'm pretty sure they wrote to me a couple of weeks before it matured.adindas said:I have KRBS regular saving that will mature at the end of January. Does anyone know the best way to close that accountant and possibly open a new one without the need to visit their branch?

I know I then opened a new RS without having to visit the branch.
Maybe try ringing them to check.1 -

When my KBRS regular saver matured last year I rang their customer service telephone helpline and successfully closed it over the phone and arranged a transfer of my funds to an external account. At the time I didn't choose to open a new RS but the customer service agent asked me if I wanted to and would have opened one for me if I had wished. Hope this helps.adindas said:I have KRBS regular saving that will mature at the end of January.
